San Ramon Golf Club

This review are about two things. First is the course condition relative to the price and the second is the staff and in particular, Anthony Torres. First, I have to say that I have played this course for over 6 years. The course condition has been very good, and the price is very reasonable. In contrast, a neighboring golf course, Canyon Lake GC charges an arm and a leg that absolutely does not reflect the course condition. Second is the staff. The staff there are EXTREMELY friendly and very easy to talk to. A staff in particular is Anthony Torres. He is one of the most knowledgeable golfers I know. When I check in, his mannerism, including how he welcomes me and his customers right off the bat puts me in a good mood as if I'm going to birdie or even eagle the holes when I play here. I also use the driving range quite often and I still remember the first time Anthony engaged me. He saw how I was swing and he approached me in a very respectful way to provide coaching in how I can improve my swing. For me that was game changer; tempo, eye on the ball, path swing, and follow through. I can't thank Anthony enough!! The dude is knowledgeable, friendly and has an amazing personality!!! I love SRGC so much that I have enrolled my two children there. Overall, I highly recommend playing here!!

That is a lot given that the green fees are in twenties for a round in the afternoon.

You guys have to go back to including the cart in your green fees. It's why I rarely play this course.

I would play it again. Some tee boxes are tight and require fencing adjacent to the tee. Like a lot of places golfers don't rake the bunkers or fix a ball mark on the greens.

Course was in great shape. Some bunkers need work. Pace of play was great.

Course was decent, love the par 3s onto the islands. Only problem was the sand in the traps was way to herd.

Had a good time. Please inform golfers about the clubhouse when we tee off.

Closes whenever they feel.

Made the turn at 4 on a Tuesday. Lights off, door locked.

Pro shop offers zero refreshment.

Gotta give us at least a vending machine

If I lived closer, this would be my definite go to course. It’s perfect for walking not too short, not too long. Usually in pretty good condition, the greens are acceptable, especially for what you pay. Bunkers are usually good. You can get pretty slow play but better than most at its level. It’s got a good chipping, putting, and range for practicing.

Please improve the Tee boxes - they should be groomed and FLAT. The restrooms particularly the ones on hole 10 is absolutely a disgrace - dirty sinks/toilets/out of order/ floors dirty too!

Played 4/9 Checked in and fellow at the counter had some serious IMS issues, Took great pride to inform me that it was additional $38 for the cart. When I tried to elaborate he stormed off and the elder gent had to finish??Other than that I have been coming here over 30 years and never seen the course in this condition ( for the good) The greens were a little slow as they were healing , lot of pitch marks that nobody fixes , and 5 hr round
