Golfer Reviews
Mid Day Tuesday rate of play was great.
Was able to go out as a twosome and group ahead of us was also a twosome playing at the same rate
Good course overall
Great course for beginners and intermediate players with some challenges. Fairway, green, and sand bunkers are in decent conditions. Green speed is faster than average courses requiring good reading and putting control.
course conditions and pace of play
Course conditions and pace of play were great as well as the staff.
You Gotta Play Here!!
This review are about two things. First is the course condition relative to the price and the second is the staff and in particular, Anthony Torres. First, I have to say that I have played this course for over 6 years. The course condition has been very good, and the price is very reasonable. In contrast, a neighboring golf course, Canyon Lake GC charges an arm and a leg that absolutely does not reflect the course condition. Second is the staff. The staff there are EXTREMELY friendly and very easy to talk to. A staff in particular is Anthony Torres. He is one of the most knowledgeable golfers I know. When I check in, his mannerism, including how he welcomes me and his customers right off the bat puts me in a good mood as if I'm going to birdie or even eagle the holes when I play here. I also use the driving range quite often and I still remember the first time Anthony engaged me. He saw how I was swing and he approached me in a very respectful way to provide coaching in how I can improve my swing. For me that was game changer; tempo, eye on the ball, path swing, and follow through. I can't thank Anthony enough!! The dude is knowledgeable, friendly and has an amazing personality!!! I love SRGC so much that I have enrolled my two children there. Overall, I highly recommend playing here!!
Cart Charges!
You guys have to go back to including the cart in your green fees. It's why I rarely play this course.
Not a bad layout, bunkers have no loose sand hard as a rock
I would play it again. Some tee boxes are tight and require fencing adjacent to the tee. Like a lot of places golfers don't rake the bunkers or fix a ball mark on the greens.
Thanks for your feedback, Gmillman58! We appreciate your insights about the tee boxes and maintenance. We are currently in the process of adding new sand to our bunker and expect to be done by the end of June. We're always looking for ways to improve and ensure everyone has a great experience. We hope to see you back on the course soon!
course conditions
Course was in great shape. Some bunkers need work. Pace of play was great.
Thank you for playing San Ramon Golf Club. We are working to add sand and improve quality in our bunkers. We hope to see you back soon for another round of golf!
My opinion
Course was decent, love the par 3s onto the islands. Only problem was the sand in the traps was way to herd.
Thank you for playing San Ramon Golf Club. We are working to improved bunker conditions. We are on pause for vegetation abatement but will return our attention to the bunkers ASAP. We hope to see you back soon!
