Bad greens
Should’ve given a discount for the bad green conditions. Won’t play there again until they fix them.
Good value for the money
Enjoyed spending time at the course. Great value for what I paid. The staff was incredibly friendly.
Goat Track
I will start by saying the staff was very nice and friendly. That is about all Pinetuck has going for it. I gave it a shot even though I had been told by others to avoid it, but wanted to try a somewhat local value priced course. It was a little bit of a drive (45 mins) to get there, but I knew that going in. The signage is dilapidated, the clubhouse is dilapidated, the carts are dilapidated and the list goes on. I do know that we have gotten some sporadic heavy rain over the last week, but I have never played on a course so wet that it wasnt actively raining on. I lost no less than 5 balls to the rough because everything plugged. The greens were in terrible shape. Hardpan, cracked dirt/mud on most all the greens, with some weeds for more fun, made it impossible to read a putt. Puddles were all over the cart paths and most smelled like sewage. There were very few, if any, hole markers so followed cart path to wrong hole a couple times. Every bunker was filled with grass so couldnt play out of it if you wanted to. Even if it was half the price I dont think I would make the trip back down. Again really nice staff, just nothing else
Awful Quality
The course is so bad it makes it significantly more difficult to play. Second time playing here this summer. I was hoping for a better experience this round but I will not be returning.
Terrible Greens, Long Roughs but CHEAP PRICE
Recommend playing here if you’re a beginner on a tight budget. Must look really hard for your ball in the roughs. Be prepared to lose balls that you normally wouldn’t on any other course.
Give it a chance
Was pleasantly surprised with Pinetuck today. I went in expecting the course to be the 2.7 stars that reviews say. However, for the price, and the layout, I would say this is a 3.7 stars course. I went to enjoy a round of golf and take the course for what it is. Yes, there is damage to some greens. Move your ball to a spot without damage and they roll really well. Loved the layout. Friendly staff. Played my round quickly with no problems.
A tired course
I think the current owners are doing the absolute minimum to still get some income while they develop their plans to close and develop this lot of land. It's a shame. The layout is pretty nice but the maintenance of the course is terrible.
Some of the greens are unplayable due to large, crusty, black, dead spots, ingrown weeds, etc.
The car path is an obstacle course with holes, flooding and roots.
I don't think any of the bunkers (which are still considered bunkers) are raked and are hard as a rock. Most bunkers are "let go" and are now grassy mounds.
You get what you pay for.
Previous reviews are dead on
It is literally the worst course I've ever paid money to play.
Challenging Layout
Lots of forced carries . Requires accurate drives and approaches to avoid the deep rough, water , trees , and bunkers .
Staff
Very friendly staff and accommodating to customer needs.
Bad greens
The greens were in horrible condition. There was still winter damage and weeds in most greens . The fairways were mowed long and uneven. The cart path had several spots you had to go around. Some were washed out.
Don’t waste your money
Probably the worst golf course I have ever played do yourself a favor and save your money
First time
I golfed with as couple guys that have golfing there for awhile, all in agreement greens need a lot of work. You pay and they dump you out the door. No starter just find who is golfing with you and go, when ever
Course in terrible condition
The course was in terrible condition. Had to wait 45 minutes after my tee time to start. No carts were available, had to wait for other groups to finish before I could start. Then they didn’t take my prepaid fees. Still had to pay 35$ or not play. Good thing that I haven’t played in 5 years and just needed a little practice time.
