Nice
The layout is very nice, the greens are spotty - the fairways are decent if you play winter rules. The staff is very nice / very friendly. The hot dogs could be better.
Nice layout, but needs work.
The tees and greens are in rough shape. The course needs updating, however, to play a cheap round on a nice layout of challenging holes mixed with some easy ones, this course would be it.
My backyard looks better
The putting greens were a joke. Some felt like bunkers, more than greens. There is no signs for any hole. Maintenance fell behind a long time ago, but the layout is great. You feel you are in the middle of nowhere.
You get what you pay for
. The staff was very nice and friendly. The only positive from our experience. The greens were horrible. On one green I had to move the ball because it was dug up. The grass was so high we keep losing our ball, on the fairway. The holes aren't identified,. The pace was okay because not many people were playing. I will not play here again.
I usually don't play on Sunday and so many courses were so expensive, so we thought we'd give this one a try. Big mistake.
A tale of 2 9s
The front nine looks like an army tank division shelled the course. The greens were just terrible, not puttable. The back 9 was in much better shape. The course layout is good, the property has potential in the right hands, but not today. I’ve been playing golf for 40 years and have never seen worse greens.
Would not recommend
Greens were in terrible condition, course was fun to play, but just a glorified caw pasture.
Tucked Away
This is a locals hidden course! Natural grass course with weeds, holes, and rough - so if you want manicured landscape you should pass. It was challenging and very open - much value for the $25 price. A few really nice over the water. Greens are in much need of work so do not plan on working on you putts. Beautiful day!
BEWARE!
This course shouldn’t be open. The absolute worst golf course conditions I have ever played. Whoever owns this course should be ashamed for requiring payment.
Bad greens
Should’ve given a discount for the bad green conditions. Won’t play there again until they fix them.
Good value for the money
Enjoyed spending time at the course. Great value for what I paid. The staff was incredibly friendly.
Goat Track
I will start by saying the staff was very nice and friendly. That is about all Pinetuck has going for it. I gave it a shot even though I had been told by others to avoid it, but wanted to try a somewhat local value priced course. It was a little bit of a drive (45 mins) to get there, but I knew that going in. The signage is dilapidated, the clubhouse is dilapidated, the carts are dilapidated and the list goes on. I do know that we have gotten some sporadic heavy rain over the last week, but I have never played on a course so wet that it wasnt actively raining on. I lost no less than 5 balls to the rough because everything plugged. The greens were in terrible shape. Hardpan, cracked dirt/mud on most all the greens, with some weeds for more fun, made it impossible to read a putt. Puddles were all over the cart paths and most smelled like sewage. There were very few, if any, hole markers so followed cart path to wrong hole a couple times. Every bunker was filled with grass so couldnt play out of it if you wanted to. Even if it was half the price I dont think I would make the trip back down. Again really nice staff, just nothing else
