Edgewater Golf Club

I always have a great time playing Edgewater, it’s challenging enough to test you but also has some places to gain momentum and overall just a fantastic round every time

Course was in great shape. Greens recently aerated but still in wonderful shape. Everything here is outstanding. Pro shop, range (top tracer), practice facilities. All wonderful. The real gem was the restaurant after our round. Staff top to bottom here was world class. Will be back as soon as I can!

This course is a bit of a drive from Charlotte but I always love playing it. Pace of play was excellent and the carts are always some of the best around.

The only thing I would say that was out of the ordinary was that the greens were starting to get a little burned out and overrun with some weeds along the edges. But they did have multiple signs saying that they planned to punch them beginning on Oct. 5, so hopefully that remedies the situation.

Great course. Lots of tees to chose from for all levels of golfers. Beautiful facilities and friendly staff. Definitely a course we will play again.

Played a round yesterday. Greens are a little rough, it other than that. Great course! Always have a fun round when play here!

It appears that there are weeds beginning to creep into the greens (poa annua). Hopefully this can be resolved.

Always a treat to play this wonderful layout and new clubhouse facilities terrific addition. Fairways were in great shape but rough very high and nearly impossible to find ball and just as tough to hit out of. Seems common this time of year for several courses but diminishes the fun for regular gofers. This not the us open. Greens rolled great but couldn’t believe how beat up from in repaired ball marks, which I’d say reflects more on the golfers who play there than the course. I must have fixed 8-10 on each green and left a whole more. Some crab grass trying to invade greens. Not trying to be over critical but to provide objective observation.

Nonetheless always a treat to play Edgewater. Like I said, they still rolled quite well.

Had another great time at this course. Staff and course conditions are unmatched! This is a mainstay on my golf schedule.

Pace of play has been a consistent issue though. A five hour round when the temps were in the upper 90's was rough. The beverage cart girl thankfully kept us plenty hydrated though!

For the price, this is by far the place to go. Course is in excellent condition, greens are reasonable, and facilities are amazing.

But of a drive, but worth it.

I’ve played this course about 25 times over the years. The course is in pretty good shape for this time of year. No complaints there. The clubhouse and amenities are top notch. Staff was very friendly and I love the challenging layout. However, pace of play is a major, major issue here and has been for the last several years. We had a 1:50 tee time and did not tee off until about 2:15. Several groups waiting on the first. We were 45 mins in and had only played two holes. 5.5 hour round. Waiting on every single shot is brutal. This is not the first time either. On my last two visits I left on hole 16 because I was just so tired of waiting. It’s a shame bc I used to love playing here.

This was my 2nd time playing the course. Conditions on the tee boxes were much improved from late April. Fairways and green were in great shape. Pace of play was good on the front 9 (2:00) and poor on the back 9 (3:00). Snack bar at the turn had good options and the snack/drink cart came around 4 times during the round, so that was good on a hot day. I really like the layout of this course and the clubhouse/practice facility is outstanding.
