This place is horrible
Worst course I have ever played at. From the tee boxes to the greens it was so bad. Not to mention the golf cart didn’t even make it the whole round. Wouldn’t play here again for free!
Playing really nice
Fairways were in great shape and while some greens had some patchy spots they were rolling fast and true when I played. I paid only $25 to play and it was a bargain. I can't understand some of the negative reviews from people bashing conditions at any of the low priced courses in the region. You can't have Augusta National conditions at these prices. And you sure can't water and fertilize your own lawn, let alone a 100 acres, for 25 bucks. Here we have a fun, close by, affordable place to enjoy the game, spend time with family and friends, and get outdoors. It will be sad if we ever lose affordable places like these but I guess the people who like to post bad reviews don't mind paying 100 dollar and up green fees. They will still complain about something, though.
Words don't describe this course
But Pics do! Unable to upload pic of green. mostly dirt with patches of grass. :(
Pine tuck golf course
Starting with the cart,in very poor conditions.
Cart path in need for repairs.
Greens are in poor shape,
Overall course needs good maintenance to enjoy the game.
Good Bones
I’ve played the course likely 10 times. For the price it is well worth the drive. Much work needs to get done just to make the course average, the layout is fun, but a number of the greens have really bad patches,. They keep the greens really soft so you’ll likely stick, but than you’ll have to putt over some rough areas. Sticking on greens and even making a divot around these parts is a real novelty. Some erosion has occurred in limited areas which really doesn’t affect play so hang on and enjoy the ride. I’ll play the course several times a summer as I’ll be in a pinch just to get a tee time anywhere and I’ll enjoy just having a tee time on a course with good bones. If your timid don’t play, if you need a tee time and have some adventure in you, I say play!!!
Great Customer Service
I don't usually leave reviews, good or bad, but the gentleman running the golf shop today is the reason I took the time to do this one. I'm terrible with names but he used to work for the Rock Hill Herald in the past. Excellent customer service.
Better than I thought
I’ve been to this course a few times and this is the best I’ve seen it. The fairways were ok and most of the greens were in great condition. For the money, you can’t beat it.
I was told that it has been sold, so who knows what’s next for this potential gem or housing development
Golf review
Third time I have played this course. A lot of damage to the greens. The course was worth the money I spent.
Cheap round. Horrible greens. Sink holes everywhere.
Worst greens I’ve ever played - our group ended up having a 2 putt max because the greens were essentially unplayable: some were soaking wet, many were muddy, your ball would bounce and turn off line, patches of different types of grass made true lines impossible to hold. We wanted to play the blue tees but one the first tee box there was a dead possum, so we moved to the white tees to avoid the horrendous smell of its rotting dead body. Also beware of sink holes on the fairways and cart path - you can seriously injure yourself if you mistakenly fall in one of the dozens of sink holes. The club house still smells like cigarettes from when they obviously used to smoke indoors. It was a fun day because we were able to laugh everything off, but everyone agreed it was the worst conditions anyone had seen in their lifetime.
