Golfer Reviews
Nice layout but needs work
Layouts good but greens are terrible on 80% or more of the course. Everything else is just okay. I’ve played here a few times but this time was least enjoyable. Went during GN hot deal so $25 for 18 you pay for what you get
Wow
I have played this course for years and always enjoyed it for the value. I took two years off and was shocked at how bad the conditions have gotten. There was black tar on all the greens, water all over the course, washed out bridges, the carts were completely jacked up, the cart paths were washed out, ponds leaking into the fairways and more. I felt bad for bringing my friends.
Needs work
Course has a good lay out but needs work. Greens have quite a few bad areas from either too much water or too much heat, Staff is friendly, carts are in pretty bad shape and not kept very clean which gave us concerns due to COVID. My wife and I enjoyed our round and were able to play 18 holes in a little over 3 hours. Price was reasonable but it should be in lieu of conditions and carts.
Etiquette
It is bad enough when foursomes do not let twosomes through even when they have they lost a ball any held the twosome up on every shot
Got through them at the turn and would you believe the next issue was a fivesome who also held us up on each shot and would also not let us through.
The game of golf is killing itself because of the time it takes to play 18 holes and we do not need further complications like the abovr
Lots of potential, but no effort
Not sure what was worse, the conditions of the golf carts or the greens. You could literally count every time the hole was moved because there was no care given afterwards. Garbage everywhere. Cutting fairways in the middle of the day while people are playing through. Several damaged cart paths and cave ins (instead of repairing, you were sinply rerouted though the grass or woods). Having said all that, the course itself has a ton of potential. The back 9 is by far better than the front with lots of wooded areas and water features. This could be a 5 star course if any professional care was given to it. If someone was looking to invest in a course to flip for profit, this would be a good one.
Nice, economical Round of golf
Nice round of golf. Very good pace except one group who let us play through. Extremely hot weather made course a little dry in spots, but overall very nice.
Hot day of golf
Hot day for solo golf. Fairways were as usual but greens were in bad shape throughout. Glad I only paid $12.
Tuesday Golf
Nice weather, decent course, decent golf. All for less than $50 for 2 people with a cart. What do you want?
How dare you save money
Been playing here for 10 years. Booked a tee time hotdeal for 830am. Guy in the clubhouse said that those slots were supposed to be for seniors and that the golf now app was hurting their business. I think they normally charge 35 for a weekday round in the morning which I would never pay for the conditions of this course. Pinetuck is worth 30 bucks at most. It’s the kind of course where, even if the mower is right next to you, the lawnmowers are kept running when you’re about to hit your shot. You’d think the golf course would just be happy you’re there playing during a pandemic rather than chastise you for buying a discounted rate, which the course offered.
Interesting
Very good layout. Really made me think from tee to green.
