Golfer Reviews
Staff is great
Pinetuck would be a great course if the put some money into it. I heard they sold it so I doubt if they do any upgrades. The Staff is great and friendly. The course needs so work.
Good Value
For the cost this course is a good value, some of the greens and fairways weren’t in great shape and the carts aren’t the best but overall the layout is challenging and interesting I will be back
Pretty good bang for the buck!
This is typically the type of course I play, so I’m not comparing to high end more expensive courses! Booked online on golf now for a rate of 25.00 ( midweek, morning round). Staff was super friendly at arrival . Club house, carts , and grounds are a bit dated, but serve their purpose and were typical of what I’m used to. Tee boxes were pretty nice ( level, appropriate turf, no large or over used bare spots). Fairways seemed to be well kept . Greens were better than I expected at this price, and any issues found on the greens seemed to be more from irresponsible golfers . Cart paths were in pretty bad shape in places, but you could see where work was being done on them in a few areas..While not a high end course, I think it’s absolutely a “value for your buck” course Can’t really speak to pace of play , we were the first ones out on the course for the day.
Very dirty carts
The carts where disgusting and not even wash. I am glad I brought my own sanitizer to wipe the cart down and it took 12 sheets to clean the carts and the sheets where black. I will never again play there.
The course was in ok shape
They oversold tee times so we had to use a beat up cart with no roof which made for a bad day fiver the hot conditions. Stop selling tee times when you run out of carts . There was no help from the Marshall when the group in front would not let us play through and they were extremely slow.
Delayed Tee Time
Had a tee off time at 11:30. We were informed that 12 groups were allowed to tee off earlier, that had not scheduled a tee off time. We could not tee off as scheduled since no golf carts were available. Not sure why manager did this. Apparently he gave no consideration to those that took the time to schedule a tee off time.. This individual owes many people an apology, and free round of golf.
Not the course for you if you want “resort golf”
Great layout, still set up for “touch less” so no rakes and no pulling the pin but enjoyed the round. Played 18 in 3 hrs, and that included hitting 2 balls each the last 4 holes.
Condition wise the course was a little rough but with the downpour yesterday understand. Was an enjoyable round and I’ll be back
Great day for golf
Decent course and a great value for the money. Would play it sgain.
SMH
This course should not have been open. I know it rained a lot last week, but I had to quit after 9 holes because it was that bad. Two holes had eroded cart paths which was a hazard. Staff is great, course is not.
Bad conditions / setup
This was my first time playing this course, and although it was a day after it had rained, the course was in really really bad shape. The cart paths were flooded with water and super super muddy. The cart was herky jerky and couldn’t really go up hill. Was an unfortunate bad experience.
Also, there are no displays of the hole layout at the tee box. But you probably don’t need them because 90% of the holes are straight shots, straight ahead. Not really challenging.
No Country Club but Fun
I'm an old country golfer and seldom play the finest courses however having worked at a military course in Germany I do appreciate the efforts made by the folks at Pinetuck. Yes, the clubhouse, etc needs improvements but for the price I was fine with what I found there. I see past the book cover and enjoyed the nice day out with friends. The greens rolled better than than they looked (come on folks, let's fix those divots...I fixed dozens and only took a few seconds each) and you better be prepared for those downhillers to roll out. I'll be back!
I play this course many time.. it’s a good for the price... it could use some work on greens and fairways but the layout is good!
First time playing the course
Interesting course, first time playing golf in six years. Greens need some work and clubhouse needs to be updated.
Never play at this course.
This course has no grass on fairways and Greens are bad , they don’t even clean the carts even during this virus situations .
