Pine tuck needs a nip and tuck
Carts and cart paths are in need of updates. Greens had large areas that were not consistent and needed replaced . General laziness with dead trees laying around , super high grass in some areas. Course layout has a high number of blind shots from the blur tee boxes,
Good Day
I enjoyed the course the only problem I had was there seemed to be multiple huge tee time groups
Great course, with a relaxed atmosphere
Greens were in amazing shape, very soft due to the amount of recent rain. Some standing water, but it was expected due to the recent rain.
Greens in excellent condition
Considering we've had little or no rain, the greens at Pinetuck were in very good condition. The fairways on the back 9 appeared to be in much better shape than the front....overall, for the price, it was well worth playing. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming...good experience.
Absolutely Terrible
Course not worth the money. It's a goat farm with warm beer and terrible course conditions. Friendly staff BUT a 30 minute wait at the turn is not acceptable. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. The best parr of the day was the cheap gas on the way home.
Me & The Guys
Enjoyed the course overall. The greens were a little on the fast side but rolled true. The lay out of the course is good as long as you stay in the fairway. Place of play was good.
Not a bad round
Overall the course is in good shape, some tee boxes were pretty rough, but greens were in really good shape. With the heat we have had in the area I was not surprised by some of this. Have played some nicer courses recently, but for the rate on GolfNow I will play here again.
Great greens
The fairways are in pretty good shape, but the greens are great....very soft and fast. The greens are in as good or better shape than some far more expensive courses I've played this summer.
good. review
This course is a great deal for the money. Staff is always friendly and willing to assist with any problems. Course is challenging but doable for the intermediate golfer.
Greens and tee boxes
Greens were very good for this time of the year. However, the tee boxes were worn and extremely hard making it difficult for tee placement. Most of the bunkers are now grass bunkers. The price on GolfNow makes the course enticing otherwise the price seems high for the condition of the over all course. Going back next week to play again.
good course
I go through golfnow.com and its a Good course for the price.
Pinetuck
The course was just okay. We would not pay more than what we paid through Golf Now. More than likely, we will not go back.
Great value, quick greens
This was my first time playing Pinetuck. I was pleasantly surprised given the ultra-low Saturday greens fees booked on golfnow.com. There are some bare patches in the fairways and a few of the greens had been recently sodded for repair, but nothing I wouldn't expect coming out of winter. The course is pretty open and forgiving. The greens , which Pinetuck touts, are in relatively good shape and fast, though they weren't what I would consider "the best green in the area." My only complaints would be the carts are in pretty rough shape and none match each other.. The brakes on the cart I had were so soft it would take ten feet or so to stop with the pedal completely depressed. And there are no course layouts at the holes or even on the scorecard. Luckily I was paired with a couple regulars that were able to tell me what was ahead. All in all, there isn't a better way to spend a sunny Saturday and I will definitely be going back to Pinetuck.
This course is decently challenge with nice greens.
What I like most about Pinetuck are the greens. Some spots are a little rough, but overall they are very smooth and will hold an approach shot. Most places are so firm that you have to land short and hope for a kind bounce... For the price, this place is hard to beat. There are relatively few houses around the course which gives it a nice open feel. There are a few places to stretch out your driver but, for the most part, course management is key. Long irons on the tee and good shot-shaping will bring in a good score. A diamond in the rough; however, not a secret anymore...
Loved the Greens!
Their ad says they have the best greens in the area...no complaints here. Greens were super fast and full of surprises. I'm used to playing Donald Ross greens and these were much like his. Can't say as much for the rest of the course but the value was terrific! I played 18 with a cart in under 3 hours for 20 bucks! The scenery is also terrific!
golf carts
The carts are in terrible shape and are in need of replacement.
Fair course
Course was ok for the money. The course should be no more than $25.00/$30.00 around.
Pinetuck natural and nice...
I'm a mid to low handicapper and I purchased a tee time at Pinetuck..through golf now. If your looking for a perfectly manicured resort or municipal course Pinetuck is not for you....what Pinetuck lacks in perfect conditions it makes up for in natural beauty. Having never played there and being from up North I found myself commenting to my playing partners about how expansive and beautiful the course was. On over 150 acres and with holes rarely running parallel Pinetuck felt like a nature preserve. Make no mistake though the golf course itself is challenging. Although not long overall on the card it plays big. Several long holes countered by a short hole or two..This course truly amazed me. Extremely fast bent greens. Yes they weren't perfect everywhere but overall very fast. If your looking for perfect conditions look elsewhere however if you appreciate a good nature walk with an expansive and challenging golf course this is your course. This course took me back in time....truly unique.....#17 was amazing too.....A true test of golf.
Course playability
Great layout. Not so good conditions. Greens in poor shape but roll nice. Beautiful scenery.
Pine tuck golf course
Course looking a little tired. The back 9 is better with one interesting ,difficult holes. Great value for money though
