Solid value course with impressive greens.
Course is semi difficult with water, long par 3 & 5s, and much need lay up shoots. If it wasn't for the green it wouldn't be that good but greens and fun shots for value if price makes it a personal favorite for a farther on a budget.
Value for the Money
First time playing this course. Kind of out of the way in the "boonies", and not much scenery with it. Opening hole wide open leading the next holes that were much tighter. Not knowing the layout definite disadvantage. A ball hit down the middle and rolled down the fairway over a hill and into water hazard.
Lots of blind shots as well with other holes. Need to play it more than once to get feel of place. Overall it wasn't really that bad, but on a holiday it wouldn't be on my favorite list.
The greens are fast and consistent
3 hour round by myself was great despite early season fairway conditions. Enjoyed the course layout and water in play on several holes. Great staff attitude and friendliness. The greens were excellent: very fast and consistently challenging hole locations and contours. Can't wait until the fairways green up again. Strong wind added challenge on par 3s over water. Good value course. Not fancy but very playable and relaxed.
great
Played Pinetuck again and best thing about this course is no matter time of year it is the greens ! Always Perfect and well kept . Green as can b and that's without paint And chemicals lol . Awesome old course . Definitely recommend .
Old school pleasure
Enjoy playing this course b/c it's quiet & secluded most of the way. Requires some course knowledge to score well. Overall condition is good & greens are uniformly fast. Not fancy, but fun.
Great course, very well maintained!
The course was in good shape and the greens were very well maintained. The greens were quick and challenging. I really enjoyed playing and will return again.
Poor golf etiquitte from gilders
Players hitting up on you and no drinking water throughout course and that's not good at all.
good practice
I played 18 by myself and for the rate and it being winter I can't complain too much about the course condition. Probably better in the summer.
Good deal
Has fun but challenging holes throughout. Really nice folks there. Can't wait to play it in summer after the over seeding has grown. The greens are still pretty decent in February.
This course is a real value for a round with friends.
Great value
Excellent greens for time of year. Best value in area.
Carts well beyond useful life.
Pinetuck
Played this past sunday. Price was good course not so much. Greens were excellent! The rest needs work! Layout was ok with some good looking holes. Wiuld play again for the price. Almost forgot, it is not a long course
Good condition - Always good greens
The course conditions always seem to be in good shape and the greens are always receptive and healthy. No outstanding weak spots on the course. Great value for the money.
the best greens in the rock hill area.
over all this is a nice course and the greens are the best for this area. the staff are very nice and helpful. the only bad thing i have to say is about that # 17 par 3 180 yds from the blues and and about 160 of that is water. lol ive never made it.
Wide fairways and nice greens
I found this to be a nice course. The fairways were fairly wide and made driving a pleasure. The greens were in very good condition and fairly easy to read. Overall the course was in good shape and a pleasure to play.
The price is right
I have played here several times and I find it to be a great course for a duffer like me. For one, almost every par 4 and 5 are wide open to the right which happens to be the same direction my tee shots go! Secondly, the fairways are nice and wide, the rough is not horrible and the greens are nice targets. That said, the course does have its challenges. Almost all of the greens are elevated with bunkers and moderate hills surrounding them. The best thing though are the greens, they are always in great shape, nicely maintained, and soft to hit into.
will make you work
Always a great time at pinetuck, not to many easy holes out here but not so hard that you will not have a good tile
Has sufficient challenges to make it fun.
The fairways were cut well and the greens were in good shape and true. Recommend the course.
Interesting public course.
I play here once or twice a year. The tees and fairways need some maintenance, but the superb greens make up for that.
You can not get lost, but either a yardage book or informational posts at the tees would make it easier to find the proper direction of play on several holes. 2 forced carries over water raise the level from easy to moderate.
This is a great value and a fun course to play.
The course is in decent shape yet a bit rough around the edges, meaning that there are some unplayable area's scattered about. The greens were great, soft and great for shooting at the flags. The greens are challenging to read but were very consistent throughout the round. Four of the five par 3's were tough and really make the experience. I really like to layout for there are only a couple holes with homes on them, the rest flow nicely through the country side. The par 5's are fun and looong from the back tees. I will return for sure!
