Golfer Reviews
great course fun to play with danger.
good course fun to play great price what more could you ask for.
Nice course for the money.
Nice course for the money. Need to try it out. Greens are decent.
Good course with some holes that require you to think.
The course was in need of some attention, as some one went through the course and destroyed one green and at least 5 fairways with a four wheeler. The pace was very slow, got to the front nine in about 2 hours, but the back nine took 3 hours. Greens were a little bumpy. I will play again in the future
Fun course. Don't expect anything fancy.
The course was a lot of fun to play. Definitely a little beat up here & there, but will be returning again to play it for sure. We also only paid $8 a person for the round through GolfNow Hot Deals, so for that price, I'll play almost anywhere :)
nice greens
the tee boxes were in good shape, some of the rough was too high, maybe because of all the rain, greens were pretty good really receptive
Good Layout - Below average Clubhouse
Course has a nice layout and the greens are soft and roll true. Some TLC could be done by cutting the rough and adding sand to all the previous bunkers which now are depressions with heavy grass. The clubhouse could be updated. Overall play was enjoyable and people were friendly.
This course has outstanding fairways and greens
First time playing at this course and will be back again, good price and course in very good shape even with all the rain we've had, will pass it along to my fellow players to play this course.
Enjoyed playing this course.
Greens are great! Relatively smooth and moderately fast. Pace of play was excellent. Staff allowed early tee off. Saw a large hawk.
Course in excellent condition
The greens are in really nice shape, best we've seen in a long time for this course. Fairways were maintained nicely as well. This is a fair and challenging course for both novice and advanced players. We give it a high recommendation.
Great value
Course in great shape. Greens were a mix of fast and slow so don't get use to them being one way. Play for our foursome took almost 5 hours do to a foursome of newbies two groups in front of us.
Good course for under $20...
We found a deal for $13 each which makes it hard to pass up. The staff is very friendly. It is mainly one guy in the pro shop and one cart attendant/grounds keeper. It definitely has a small course feel and is great for a beginner. Most holes are pretty open and reachable in regulation. The greens are usually kept up very well and the fairways are on par with what you would expect from a course small town, little course. Nothing fancy, but playable for the right price.
P.S. It is cash only in the snack area.
Good for Price
This is a much older course. Had some good holes, but for the most part just average. For the $27 fee on the weekends, it is hard to beat. Don't think I would play more than 2-3 year at most though.
Great greens
Nice layout and some challenging holes. 2 great par threes.
Great value / great day
Pinetuck is not to be confused with Pinehurst. The course is not immaculately groomed and does not have an elegant club house. However, if you're looking for a great way to spend the day with family or friends at a very reasonable cost, this is the place to try. I thought the hole layouts were fun, the greens were generally fair, and the atmosphere was extremely easy going - no pretentiousness whatsoever. I wouldn't take my biggest business client to Pinetuck, but for a fun and relaxed day outside this one is worth a try.
Greens in great shape the day I played
A fun experience. Fairways not the best, but a fair test for the average golfer. Not all jammed up the day I played, so it moved well. Greens are excellent for an out in the country course.
Fun
Got to walk 18 holes on a Friday afternoon for cheap. Walked with two young men from an area High School that was going to State on Monday. Good Luck to them
The Course was in better shape then some I've played this year.
best condition Pinetuck ever in
at $34 you cant beat the price. Typically Pinetuck has good greens in the springtime. Course was in best condition I have seen in 5 yrs. (college trnament the day we played). Also course allowed us to continue to play after I mis-read to tee time date and got us on ahead to the tournament. Had the course to ourselfs. Great day!!
