Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Legends Course

This is 2nd time and it happened both times, course staff close and go home at 4pm, it's still light until 7pm. 1st time a 4som jumped in front at 11th hole, no one answered the call because everyone went home. Yesterday we played at 1:12pm, on 8th hole a single cut in, no one answered the call, we gave up after calling for 20 minutes like last time.

The course is in great condition. Extremely challenging but was still a great time. The greens and fairways were well kept. Would 10/10 recommend this course.

Fairways had some rough patches but very minimal. Roughs were overgrown and made it for a challenging round if you can’t find fairways. Greens were in perfect condition. Overall amazing course. Never disappoints.

Greens were in good condition, fairways and tee boxes were ok. Morongo bunkers are decomposed granite full of rocks and stones. Other than the bunkers it’s in pretty good shape. The pace of play was terrible at 5+ hours on a 11:10 AM tee time on a MONDAY

When we started the round at 09:36 the course accidentally had all golf carts restricted to cart path only, in spite of the absence of frost or freezing conditions. It took several unsuccessful attempts for management to correct this.Which caused the course to become extremely backed. Additionally, someone had tampered with the coax cables on my cart, so it never successfully reset when the finally got the cart path only problem fixed. After 8 holes and 3 hours, I had had enough. Spoke with the clubhouse who offered a prepaid credit for the following Friday. I looked on golf now this morning 3 March, and found several singles tee times being offered for the pricing of last Friday. Since there was a 70% chance of rain and a 100% chance of cold weather, I requested they change my prepaid time to one of those available slots. They outright refused! It would have cost them nothing, slots were available. I used to play this course regularly. It will be a long time before I play it again!!

We drove an hour to get there and realized that the 30+ mph winds were going to make the round too cold and too difficult. Paying $140 for a miserable day wasn't a bright move we decided so we packed our bags back up and found somewhere else to play.

I chose this because of its PGA links. But that must have been years ago. The course is imaginative with some striking holes but also some weird blind shots. However it has been allowed to deteriorate badly. I drove from Palm Springs for a change of scene but it was definitely not worth the drive.

The fairways are patchy and bare in places. The bunkers are a joke, rough, full of stones and rock hard.

If they spent some money this could be a fun track. To be fair, the greens putted well.

This course had a nice layout, with good and varied challenges off the tees. It looked like the bunkers were well designed, but were not maintained at all. Rocks and dirt were most frequently what we found in the traps. Not fun or fair.

Overall okay. Pace of play socks. Course is in dire need of care. Construction of homes has very much lessened the appeal to play at this course.

It was very windy but the course is so interesting that it kinda makes up for it. Would love to come back on a calmer day to see if I can improve my score.

Drove over from Palm Desert and had a fun day playing this course. Driving range nice. Started on time. Group in front became slow on back 9, but overall nice course and would play again.
