Sierra Lakes Golf Club

Took over 5 hours to play (quit after 15 holes). We had to wait on folks that think they are on the PGA tour. Course was in horrible condition, from rough that was totally w/o maintenance, leaves and palm branches all over the course and some greens that are partially bare. What used to be a better than average public course, is no more!

Played on Wednesday 10/11. Course is in great shape. Greens were aerified looks like 2 weeks ago. They’re decent now but should be money by Monday. Definitely worth it. Pace of play for us was great also. We started at 9:30.

green was under repairing, did not notify, was only allowing play back nine, disappointed.

All was okay but fairways had some wet areas, and greens were airriated and with wet sand where plugs were filled. Also was not advised on conditions of greens when booking.

Poor communication from the pro shop to the starter. Doing maintenance work and received no notification that had to play the back9 twice. Knowing this beforehand, I would not play this course. I thought about stopping play after first 9holes due to slow play but was stuck knowing the pro shop would not give a refund. I was looking forward to great round but had a horrible experience from staff who checked me in at 6:30am.

The course itself is great and in great condition. Really pleasantly surprised by the condition and speed of the greens, they were excellent. That said, the pace of play on a weekend was terrible. Five & half hour round on a Sunday morning is unacceptable. The Marshall did almost nothing to help the situation. Biggest issue being some people out there that looked like they had never played golf before. They were playing from the back tees and hitting the ball 10 yards at a time. It was painful to watch and be stuck behind.
