Sierra Lakes Golf Club

Golf course has not been maintain up the the standards of years past. Greens were slow and pace of play was very slow. This course is not worth the price they charge compared to others in the area.

I play this course 4-5 times per year, always on a weekday, and it's always a 4:45 round or longer. I don't understand it. My group was a threesome, behind another threesome, behind another threesome, and yet still we were waiting on every shot. Otherwise it's a good experience, in above-average condition with some nice views. Three out of the four par-3s play to basically an identical yardage, so they should shuffle the tee boxes around to avoid that. The fairway grass was brown and wispy, but there was still enough cushion under the ball to make most shots playable. The staff are good. I'd come more often if I thought there was any hope of 4:30 or quicker.

Course is in fairly good condition for winter golf. Will be better as fairways green up. Layout is open but not easy. Greens speeds are good. Wish more golfers would fix their ball marks. Pace was slow.

Layout is good, greens are pretty fast! T-shots get tons of roll in the dormant fairways. Fairway bunkers well placed. Great challenge, fun course.

This course is always in good shape and very playable.

Today was strong Santa Ana winds- which is always challenging on this course. The 6th hole was playing about 150 yards- and we all hit drivers!!! If you just want a crazy round- for fun- I highly recommend playing this course in the Santa Ana’s. Lots of laughing and crazy shots.

Layout of the. Course was good, but the fairways were dormant and yellow. Lot of the free had dead areas that made chirping difficult. The greens were extremely fast and hard to read. Looking forward to playing this course later in the year when the course is green.

Pace of play was a bit slow. Other than that, always a good time playing Sierra Lakes.

Sierra Lakes is a good golf course with generally good conditions year-round. However the glaring absence of a marshal to speed up play made for a less than enjoyable round of golf. We teed off at 10 AM and did not finish until almost 5 1/2 hours later. The stop and wait for a round of golf when you pay $70 is unacceptable. Winter conditions have everything dormant now but the tea boxes and greens are in fair to average shape.

For $75 on a Friday morning, it's hard to complain too much. having played here many times, I know what to expect..But something I can't figure out, is why do they still have foam in cups and no holes on putting green? The snack window at the turn is no longer there either. You have to go to the bar. Like I said, it's really good value for the price. Oh, and the lady who works behind the counter in the mornings is great. She's very friendly and courteous.

The course condition is one of the best around the inland

area and maybe all of LA. Played here on a Friday after 12:06 tee time, barely finished before sunset around 5:15.
