Park Hill Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for the 2019 and 2020 season.
The golf course at Park Hill Golf Club is a regulation length 18-hole course that is open to the public. It is 7,268 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Clark Hamilton designed the course that opened in 1931. The course is relatively flat and features many bunkers. In later renovations to the course, over one hundred trees were planted to liven and enrich the landscape. A lake provides water hazards that come into play on two of Park Hill Golf Club's holes. The well-kept course is good for beginners or for any level of golfer who is looking to get some good practice.

Horrible
It is sad to see a course that doesn't receive any attention. It really was disgusting. Fairways the same length as the rough. Very little care is taken of this course. I don't know if they are hurting for money or what, but at least hire somebody to mow your course. Staff was a bit rude as well. If it wasn't for the beer cart I would of definitely asked for my money back. Overall rating of the course is half a star.
Good City Course
Nice course, easy to walk and challenging for those just learning.
Course condition for the money sad
Why is this course open much less charging money to play! Several tee boxes under complete renovation and more than 3 greens completely dead. Course is as rude as the staff, range balls worse condition than course. Stay away!
Course in terrible disrepair
Will wait until the end of summer to try it again and only after speaking to the golf staff first about course condition.
Course is under repair, fairways are spotty
The course is under a lot of work, as a result, two holes on the already short course are even shorter. On top of that, the grass is very patchy in areas, so you have to be more lucky than normal to have a comfortable lie on your 2nd shot. For full price, the value is poor for this course. They did, however, give us two 2-4-1 coupons on the round (without us complaining about the course), so at half price, the value is about average for the course you are playing.
Where's the water?
I play this course regularly as I live in the neighborhood. It's an average course and a generally good value. We played on a 75 degree day on April 27 and were very disappointed that there were no ball-washers out or drinking water. There were also three holes with major construction and that fact was never mentioned on Golfnow.com. No wonder we got a good price. Would have preferred to have gone somewhere else had we known.
Poor
Terrible condition...course is very bare throughout..construction not the obvious problem....needs lots of attention..greens are a joke
Needs a few more Hazzardson back nine
Pretty easy course. Still needs a lot of work. Pretty fun cource,we had fun.
Very poor conditioms
Course was in really bad shape 5 holes using temporary tees greens in some spots actually seemed diseased more sand the grass II could have understood if they were not charging full price definately not worth the 50 bucks they charged and announcing each tee time and who is on deck is annoying and distracting
Terrible condition
I know it is early Spring and we have had a winter with less than desired natural water, but the fairways and greens are in terrible shape. There is major remodeling coming to the course and some has already started, so I discount those holes as they are due to actions outside of their control. Most of the course has very poor fairways - dead sports that have no grass, not just a winter kill. The greens are in poor conditions with many areas on the greens with dead grass. Tee boxes were moved to "temp" sites on several holes, that were not due to the construction being done by RTD.
Save your money if you enjoy golf. I have played at several different Denver courses that have the same weather to contend with and they are in "good" condition. I see no excuse for letting the course fall into this poor condition.
You get what you pay for
We played at Park Hill because of cost and convenience. If you play there, be warned about the typical, municipal course-type riffraff who play there - cut off shorts, jeans, obnoxious, little attention to basic golf etiquette, etc... The pace of play is slowed by the frequent tee times (every 7 minutes) and the people playing. Also, the greens remain in very sketchy condition with multiple patches of sand/no grass. Computers were down in pro shop, so long lines there too. That being said, it was only $35 to walk 18 holes on the weekend, so you get what you pay for...
greens were bumpy not in great shape
greens were bumpy not in great shape and burn marks
staff great course needs care
course needs work alot of winter kill and brown spots
its winter, and very dry.
its winter and very little moisture. every thing is extremly dry, faieways, greens. stafff doing good job.
Not bad for winter golf!
Course is short but that can make it fun. Had a great time espically for 18 bucks with a cart! I'm sure we will be back soon.
Great day to play golf. Greens were brown but overall course was great.
Course was very busy. Very slow on front nine. Picked up on the back nine. Considering the recent frigid weather the course was in good shape. Great value for the money. Clubhouse guys are great. Would recommend to friends and family.
Park Hill
Great weather, staf was very helpful. Allowed us to play the back nine first for speed of play. We were able to get 18 in and the staff allowed us to play until 4:45 and we were able to get a few more holes in. It was very much appreciated.
Best greens I've played this year
Fairways good, some bare spots, but the greens are as good as any country club in the state
This course has a great layout. Good mix of par 3s and 5s.
Considering the date, late October in Colorado, the course was in great condition.
