Park Hill Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for the 2019 and 2020 season.
The golf course at Park Hill Golf Club is a regulation length 18-hole course that is open to the public. It is 7,268 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Clark Hamilton designed the course that opened in 1931. The course is relatively flat and features many bunkers. In later renovations to the course, over one hundred trees were planted to liven and enrich the landscape. A lake provides water hazards that come into play on two of Park Hill Golf Club's holes. The well-kept course is good for beginners or for any level of golfer who is looking to get some good practice.

Nice, easy course. Always a good time
Park Hill is always one of my favorite courses to play when you need a good confidence booster. There really isn't any OB, and the course plays fairly easy. That said, it is usually in good shape, the staff are friendly and most of the people are laid back. I always have a good time here and would definitely recommend it to those who have yet to play.
Solid Course
The course is very simple and straightforward, and in good condition. We paid and were told that they would call us to the first tee shortly over the loudspeaker, so we went to hit a few putts. After about ten minutes, past our tee time, we went to the tee even though not called and joined up with a two some about to go. Not sure what that was about. Later, at hole four, we ran into a children's club and got stuck behind them. They were kids of about six or seven and clearly never been on course before. We got stuck behind them until hole eight, when they disappeared. After that, we didn't wait at all and completed the round quite quickly. It's a nice basic course in good condition although the greens are slow. The price was right, too.
Boost your confidence
Not many hazards pretty simple layout, play course to boost your confidence.
Flattest course in Denver
There is a lot of grass on this course! Wide open, no water, and pretty hard to loose a ball. Stuck in an industrial area and not especially scenic for Colorado. The front starts off long. The back is significantly shorter and just a touch tighter.
Good except pace of play
My son and I had a good time although got rained out on the last 2 holes. And even though we only played 16 holes, it took over 5 hours to play them. We never saw a ranger or anyone else pushing the pace of play. We did enjoy ourselves because we didn't expect to be done in 4 and a half hours.
Good deal
I enjoyed this course and GN deal. The surrounding area is industrial and a bit noisy.
What a difference!
Park Hill GC brought in a new Superintendent, David Jack, around 2 years back. That, coupled with the addition of the new Par 3's on #3 & #15 last summer, have completely changed the dynamic and experience of this golf course design. What were poor fairway conditions and questionable greens in the past are now lush, full fairways and greens that are running around a 10. It's public, so there's bound to be a few issues here and there, but compared to years past, Park Hill is an absolute delight to play.
Good for beginners.
Extremely easy course. Boring really. Chipping green is just a patch of grass with a flag stick basically. Driving range is huge but you'd thing they'd have some better targets to aim at. Now the course just had nothing to it. I don't know why people are saying the rough was thick because it was not by any means. Not sure what they think is thick but go to Green Valley Ranch or Todd Creek or Colorado national if you want to see thick rough. The course was flat with pretty much no water, if any at all in play. Fairways were also huge with a lot of room to miss. Don't get me wrong, the course was nice with pretty good greens but just not enough to it. Overall an easy course and good for beginners.
Surprise free time on a business trip
The course lacked a water hazard and was in good shape with well maintained greens. Difficulty was found on the tight fairways and punishing thick rough. It is a good public course close to downtown Denver. The pro shop discouraged use of Golfnow but the price was better than the published rate. I rented clubs, new Taylormade's but at $35 I found the price a shade high.
in very good condition
for a public course, it was a nice course with wide fairways, had to make sure you hit the ball in the middle of the fairway otherwise you had to hit it out of very thick grass
Average Course
I recently moved to the area and was looking forward to getting to know the courses in the Denver area. My friends and I decided to start with Park Hill. After being greeted rudely by the employee in the clubhouse, we went on to experience a largely average course in every possible aspect (greens, fairways, design, etc.). Safe to say my friends and I will not be coming back anytime soon and will be on the look out for a better course in the area.
PROUD OLD COURSE SHOWS ITS AGE [NOT DOING WELL]
TALL GRASS ,LOTS OF WEEDS NO SAND IN THE BUNKERS [ALL MUD] NO SAND IN THE BOTTLES TO FILL DIVOTS WITH OVERALL THIS NEEDS A LOT OF ATTENTION OR TLC OR SOMEONE TO TAKE HOLD OF THIS
Deep and shaggy rough is too unfriendly
I play golf for fun and the rough on this course is no fun. Hit a decent drive on #1 (slight draw took the ball maybe 5-6 feet off the fairway) and lost ball in the rough. It's really deep and shaggy. It's one thing to have a tough shot if you miss the fairway, but losing a ball after a slight mis-hit is overkill. One of the par 3's on the back is about 200 yards up hill ... missed green by 2-3 feet, which I consider to be a good shot -- nope! Again 6-8 inch deep rough 3 ft off the green! Extra stroke to blast it out of the deep rough. All day long losing balls after slight mis-hits. I'll spend my weekend golf time elsewhere. The bunkers are rock hard and have little "sand" in them.
Great Day at Park Hill
Excellent time and had the course all to ourselves at 1:30pm on a Friday. Staff was very helpful and the course was in great shape.
Fore!
Not a bad course, definitely worth the price. Fairways were very narrow and had 4 occasions of other golfers playing on the wrong hole and 1 group actually hitting it toward the tee box i was on... Just watch out for the range balls when you get towards the end of the course, you're literally in the line of fire of some power hitters. So, bring a helmet and you'll have a great time :)
Great course for price
Did not pay much to play. Course was in solid shape for being mid April. Played from the tips. Wasn't the most difficult course. Had a great time and staff was awesome.
Good coarse!! Water only on 2 holes!!!
Pace of play was excellent!! Never had to wait at any tee box!!! Very fun and relaxing!! Good mix of par 3,4 & 5's!!
Layout
Like the layout of the new par 3's. Greens are in good shape.
Course is a good bargain and readily accessable to DT Denver
another great day on the course
Greens rolled nice..fairways were great. All and all I'll play this course again and again.
A fun course to play,a great value.
I like the course even though it is a pretty easy course, The front 9 is very open not much trouble. Back 9 is a lot tighter but much shorter. P.S. good distance to the par 3s.I will come back.
