Riverside golf corse
Corse over all was pretty good. I played on a cold misty day so unfortunately I didn't get the full advantage of the corse
Never again
This is by far the worst course we have played in years. I have a pasture in Bastrop county in better condition than this place. Greens half black, fairways weeds, tee boxes a joke. The Supt needs to be fired.
Never again will I waste my time here.
great value
The course was in good shape. The greens were a bit inconsistent, but overall very good. Very good value for the $.
Great improvement
Last time we played the fairway was dried up, astecially it did not look good. This time the fairway and greens much better. Location, price and conditions made for positive experience.
Riverside
Excellent course. Tee boxes be like hunch back of notre dame. Greens were muddy and soft. Either way it was a good time. Good course for the money.
Very fun course
This is an older course and has some history with it. It's located near downtown and the airport. The green fees are low also
One of my least favorite courses
I really do not like playing this course. I will not play this course for more than $25. This course is always full of hackers that don't know golf educate. Some holes are shoe horned in due to having to redesign the course for ACC. Conditions are fair, but many of the greens have dead sections. The $42 rate for this course is crazy. Staff is very friendly and tin cup food is not bad. All other muni courses in the area are better.
The Old Gray Mare
Some of the greens were really soft and well kept.. especially for this time of year. This course should play pretty easy. The fairways need some work though, as they were pretty firm with plenty of dead spots that could send your ball to either side into the rough. There is a lot of junk on the sides of the fairways, and the rough is so tall and unkept in spots that you may lose a lot of balls if you don't keep it in the middle. The bunkers are hard as rocks.
Very Enjoyable Round
Considering the drought conditions, the greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in very good condition, the traps were extremely hard, could use some improvement. Cudo's to the greenskeeper and staff.
Good little muny
Teeing off early morning on a 100 degree day in August, it was pleasing to find the greens in very good shape for a public use golf course. Fairways were ok for the drought conditions of August, and the tee boxes were clean, well mown, and in otherwise good shape (my pet peeve is the accumulation of a week or more of broken tees in the tee box area -- evidence of casual maintenance).
The course is reminiscent of its early Perry Maxwell days as Austin Country Club though worn around the edges with some holes lost due to space encroachment of Austin Community College.
The Tin Cup Grill is a classic hole in the wall, but serves up a serviceable hamburger and the beer is cold.
Awful Vaule and Horrendously Slow
Picked up a tee time for $39 on a Sunday morning. There is no driving range on this course just a "warm up net" that you can hit into. The artificial grass at the "warm up net' is in disrepair as is the net itself. Course was soaking wet with standing water in many areas even though we haven't had rain in weeks, green with large muddy areas and bunkers that were hard as a rock. Hard to tell between fairways and rough and tee boxes were not level.
The course was littered with 5-somes in front of us. We stopped playing after 4.5 hours and 15 holes because the pace of play was horrendous. Tee boxes stacked up 3 groups deep. I am not sure I would play this course again for $19 and surely not for $39. Spend your money at any other course in Austin before resorting to Riverside.
Recently punched greens
Greens full of sand so very slow. Fairways in great shape.
Time to tune it up!
You know the expression you get what you pay for. Well this pretty much sums up riverside. I will give it a little slack since there was some rain recently, but even so the course is in poor shape.
The maps at each tee box aren't legible anymore and flow between the holes is a little odd. Some of the greens were soft and some were concrete. So no good feel for the course.
There isn't much difference between the fairway and the rough. And on some of the holes the rough is covered with stones and branches - good luck finding your ball in a pebble field.
All and all they could clean it up and make it average - but spend the $3 extra and go somewhere else for now.
fun in the sun
First time playing the course, had a great time the greens were great and all the staff were excellent to talk to.
Fantastic!
The course is in the best shape it has been in for over 10 years! Someone is doing something right!
Got to love the rain
with all the rain it made the course absolutely awesome
Greens are great
Overall great golfing experience. If playing late make sure to take mosquito repellent.
Very enjoyable round
Very fun course, ha a great time Greens, fairways, bunkers and tee boxes in fantastic shape! Great value for the money. Only drawback was no driving range but they had a net you could hit into before teeing off on #1. Would recommend to anyone.
Open play
Very open cores, good first time will be back out here again

We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had before. I'd strongly urge you to come see the transformation we've undergone since Austin Community College took us back over in November 2015. We think you'd be pleasantly surprised!
