East at Jacaranda Golf Club

This course is always a joy to play. It is always pefectly groomed. Very fair but challenging course. Greens were hard and fast but putts would run true. I only get to play here once or twice a year but it never disappoints.

The entire Jacaranda experience has been top notch each time I play there. While I prefer the East both courses are fun, challenging and in very good condition. Only complaint would be allowing 2some stacked back to back to back. Happens everywhere I know but while it makes the 2s happy not so much for the rest of us.

We played Jacaranda East on Thursday 3/1/2018. We have played the West course prior, have never played the East. We were looking forward to playing the course. Unfortunately it was not in very good shape, specifically the greens were horrible. I love the layout, and the fairways were fine. But the greens were pathetic, very sandy and not true at ll. They were slow, every one was different and not what I would expect. The tee boxes were not well maintained either. When discussing with a worker at the course, he agreed the greens were poor and said it was due to a recent cold spell. We have played 10 courses this week and these were the worst greens of all, so other courses have been able to maintain the greens. If they knew the greens were in pitiful shape, the should not charge top dollar ($127 per round) to play, they should reduce the price until the fix the greens. We will be taking this course off of our yearly golf trip.

Played this course on March 1st. All was excellent EXCEPT for the greens. We played 10 different courses in the area over a 10 day period and these greens were by far the worse that we saw. Bumpy and inconsistent speed from green to green. The excuse we heard was that the cold spell in the previous weeks did the damage. Maybe a change in grass is needed? The $127 green fee is overpriced given the current conditions. Management needs to reassess pricing policy given these conditions.

Worth the price. Greens and fairways are great and the tee boxes and rough are also well kept. Tough but fair. Wide fairways help. Staff is 5 star across the board.

At one time, the certainties of life were death, taxes and Jacaranda being in immaculate condition. Unhappily, times have changed for Jacaranda, at least for its East course. While The East's mostly ample fairways were pristine enough for a candlelight dinner, the less-than-plush greens yielded quick and bumpy sojourns for golf balls that could only be directed to the general location of the holes. All was hardly lost, however. First off, Jacaranda's unusually thin greens were still in better condition than greens at majority of the courses in Broward County. The deep, spacious bunkers surrounding the greens and tee boxes were in solid shape, as well. And with its eye-catching course design, attentive staff, and one of the best 19th holes around, Jacaranda East remains one of the classiest tracks in South Florida. An return to form on the greens will once again make it immaculate.

Everyone we came in contact with from the cart attendant to the starter to the refreshment attendant were friendly and helpful. The course was in excellent condition and the other players we were paired with were about the same caliber of golfers that we were, making for a great experience. Of the four courses we played this week, this was by far the best experience.

I hadn’t played this course in about 5 years. I played the course due to a hot deal. I decided to give it a go after reading other reviews. Course conditions while not perfect are better than most of the southeastern Florida courses which are generally lacking. The layout is fairly easy in that water does not come into play and fairways are generous enough to allow use of driver on many holes. Greens are form and thin on spots. Fairway condition generally above average. It was a Saturday and they were short a cart person to handle two courses. Only saw the cart person once. You can order food on the 9th hole but the kitchen staff cannot keep up. Had to wait ten minutes at the turn and they had difficulty running the cash register. Better bag drop than most courses. Plenty of carts and attendants.

Perfect day with son Jake and Reinaldo and Cesare. Greens pretty unusually beat up. Needs some TLC. Other than that, everything perfect. Starter and Cart Woman Wonderful!!!

Friendly staff good condition pace of play was reasonable. I like that the fairways were generous with few or maybe even no forced carries.

Grass is very thin on the greens. Don't roll out well. Range was a joke $10 for 30-35 balls is ridiculous when you already drop a hundred to play. The grass in the range was terrible.

My friend and I came from, Canada on a golf trip and we enjoyed playing in this course. The course was well kept and the pace was good. Friendly staff. A bit expensive though $102 for a round at one o'clock.

Remove the starter from the equation and we had a great time. The starter thought he was the ruler of the world and was not happy with the non-regulars (us) that day. He could not have been more rude. After we got past him we played in under 3 hours and really enjoyed the course.
