Grand/Royal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club

First time playing this course. I was paired up with a course employee and had a great time. The staff was very accommodating. They got me out ahead of my tee time and the course was in very good shape.

Played there yesterday. Fire ants are out of control - teeblocks, fairways, bunkers on the Grand side.

WORST GREEN I’VE EVER SEEN. Course is surrounded by houses very closely. Awful clubhouse & pro shop. Not helpful staffs.

Golf curse is in ok conditions greens will be in better shape.

I have played this course for years. Unfortunately I have seen it decline due to improper maintenance. There are fire Ants everywhere. I took a friend visiting from Michigan and he was badly eaten by the fire Ants. Unacceptable.

We had a 900 tee time, had us starting on the same course as others making the turn. Had the same experience as we made the turn. 51/2 hour round that s too long even for a Saturday. No ranger on the course to maintain play.

We had a great round. Some of the holes were a little confusing, but we figured it out. Decent conditions. Overall, would definitely play there again.

If you have suffered enough tough condition courses, well this one is for you! Spotty turf is fairly normal in places, this is more than average and definitely enough to make you question your choice of courses, but if that was removed the layout is actually very challenging and interesting: The staff are awesome and have options for a few nice cold ones of all varieties. Just get them at the start or turn and you’re all good. A reasonable value all told and good chops to get you ready for that Orange Monster course!

Not every course can be managed for perfection and within budget. Weed control was lacking as was obvious in a few places, but most areas have adequate mixed turf to create a playing surface that is at least playable, and most greens were about average for health and some better than others. Sand was degrading but playable- mixed with dirt and firmish compared to most white sand. The layout is certainly a challenge, fairly narrow and penal but playable. Add wind and you have plenty of challenge. I suggest you play a winter type of rule and move the ball a couple club lengths or to decent turf to enjoy the layout at least.

For a resort course it was poorly maintained. More weeds than grass but the staff was excellent in the pro shop, bar and rangers. Could be way better if kept up but not worth the price for the quality.

Drove an hour only to find out the course was closed due to flooding had a tee time got a week think someone would have called

It’s a golf complex with nice layout and great location, that could be very good. No doubt it’s a residential course as it moves through the neighborhood at every hole.

Unfortunately it has been let go down big time and the conditions are a big let down
