Country Club of Miami - West
About
The Country Club of Miami, located near residential areas, boasts two courses, the East Course and the West Course. Both golf courses at the club have seen many famous players including Jackie Gleason, Bob Hope, and Jack Nicklaus. The West Course features rolling greens as well as many strategically placed bunkers. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The course is very well maintained and provides a good game for players of any skill level. Conveniently, the golf club has a large pitting, putting, and chipping area where golfers can work on their short game and there is also a grass driving range.

Bad pace of play and impossible greens
This is a cheap course so you can’t expect perfection, but it took 6 hours for 18 holes with 3 people due to pace of play. Also, you can’t read the greens because there are so many bumps and so much dirt that your ball will move in whatever direction it wants. I would not go back to this course.
Worth It For the Price
Tee boxes Good
Fairways Good
Bunkers Great
Greens (Questionable) but they are working on it.
Course be restored very nicely
I used to play this course about 30 years ago. He was in pristine condition, but it was not publicly owned now it’s run by Miami Dade County and let me tell you they took the course and they are gradually little by little bringing it back to life I would highly recommend this course friendly people, challenging course…..
Miami Country club worst ever golf course in Miami
Both golf courses the East and West are terrible. Tees, fairways, greens, bunkers and lakes are totally abandoned. Don’t spent money and time trying to practice golf in Miami Country Club. Worst golf club country club in the USA.!!
Sad sad courae
CC of Miami’s wear course needs to be shut down and worked on by a new grounds team. Never seen “greens” in worse shape. Everyone worse than the previous. $40 is a rip off to play that course.
Sad
It was a lot better before, unfortunately if they don’t take care of it soon it might be sold and continue building apartments like the rest of the courses that had been sold
Bad, Bad, Bad
Terrible course conditions, farways are a cow grassland! Greens Are no Greens…rather meadow! The course is not worth10$!
Great layout in disrepair
It looks like they may have taken steps to repair the greens recently, but they were water logged seemingly from irrigation when I played. The remainder of the course was in very poor shape. Many fairways were either patchy with grass, dirt and weeds. Others were shaggy and full of grass clippings (on a Saturday). The rough was more weed than anything. The sand traps were a true hazard containing sand and weeds.
It seems like this was once a great course. Decades ago perhaps.
