About

Type Resort

Length 6881 yards
Slope 152
Rating 73.6

Twenty seven championship holes await travelers visiting south Florida's scenic beaches. Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines also offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. All three are famous for having some of the best greens in the area, and the golf courses are played in three separate combos. The Grand/Royal 18, designed by Ward Northrup, comes in at 6,881, most of which is blanketed with palm trees and tropical foliage. The longest and most challenging of the Grand Palms' golf courses, Grand/Royal features some especially memorable water holes. A tight layout with raised greens (perfect for testing your shot-making talents), beware the Grand's bunkers, strategically placed along the greensides.

Too Crowded

Waiting every hole, 6-some behind us hitting up on us, too many people let onto the course, tee boxes and fairways in terrible shape

Great Layout

Both 9 holes that I played were in good shape compared to other South Florida courses. I played the Grand and the Royal. The Royal is very challenging even from the shorter tee box. The bunkers have more sand than most of the South Florida courses Arne the greens were in excellent shape considering the drought conditions. The fees on Golf now made it an extremely affordable. Very friendly staff is a plus.

Trickier than it looks

At first glance this course looks routine, but once you get out there, you find a course with narrow landing areas that force you to make decisions on every hole. Not too make "just bomb it" holes. We played Grand and Sabal Very enjoyable.

Pleasantly Surprised

This course pleasantly surprised me. It was great value for the money. Nice fairways, greens were fairly good condition. The clubhouse needs a lot of help but great value.

Missing a Ranger

Didn’t expect much about the course conditions due to the green fee rates but never expected that several beginners would have showed up the same day! They are certainly missing a Ranger to manage the play pace. A Ranger with the same regularity as the cart girl would definitely help.

Just needs some work.

I booked on GolfNOW and I paid the $6 fee to lock in the good deal. When I arrived at the shop they tried to charge me an extra $25 dollars and when I mentioned the reservation price again the guy said “yea we are supposed to change that on golfnow” that’s pretty ridiculous that you advert and offer deals and prices that you otherwise aren’t going to honor. Other than that the pace of play was so so bad it literally took me 6 hours to play a round. Other than that everything was okay. I wish they wouldn’t let these young morons that scream and party on the golf coarse. It’s very distracting and they are messing up the pace of play.

Greens in better condition than they have been in the past

Played Sabal for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed. Then played Royal which I have played many times. Greens were in better condition than they have been in the past several years. Some of the fairways are not in great shape, but it is made up for by the lush landscaping throughout the course. Many greens have significant slope which makes them challenging. Fairways can be tight which makes for a good course. For the money, these courses are among the best deals in Dade and Broward

Good layout

The Layout and course conditions were good but the facility and the housing that’s part of the resort needs a lot of work. It seems neglected and all their efforts and dollars are for the courses only.as evedanced by the mixed to poor reviews on their room rentals. Since I’m local I’m interested in the golf only.If you’re interested in golf only it’s worth a trip to Grand Palms golf course

Really nice layout

Another South Florida fading beauty. Great layout, challenging and fair. However, tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all close to falling below acceptable. Didn’t see one operating sprinkler nor one grounds-crew all day. The course is dying for water. Basic, limited pro shop. Bathroom/locker room area is severely dated and I’ll-maintained. Probably still fine for an inexpensive round. The golf is enjoyable and the staff is friendly/nice.

Great Couse to play

I came as a single and the staff got me right out. Fairways pretty good shape, greens were fast, took a couple holes to get used to them.. Other than the painfully slow foursome in front of me it was a great day. I had to wait for every shot once I caught up to them.

There were no carts. Wait was over 1:30 after tee time. Went home without playing. I should be reimbursed the service fee. Ridiculous.
