About
Designed by Steve Smyers, Cheval Golf and Athletic Club's (previously known as Cheval Country Club) mature and meticulously maintained course meanders through 860 acres of elegantly designed development property. Cypress trees abound on this course along with native Florida wildlife including deer, alligators, otters, eagles, wading birds and more. Cheval is one of the area's most prestigious semi-private clubs and offers 18 holes of championship golf. Precise shot placement is required to avoid the 108 bunkers and water hazards that lurk on every hole. A large practice facility includes target greens, distance markings, a practice greens-side bunker, a practice fairway bunker, large putting green and separate pitching green.

Nice lay out
We had a great golf day starting with a warm welcome from the pro shop and the golf cart manager. The range is fun as you hit all shots into A small lake behind the clubhouse.
Lots of water holes so be prepared for some target golf. Greens are well maintained and have some undulation to them.
Enjoyed the experience.
Dissapoited
Greens were slow and bumpy, not mowed. Weeds and thin grass. Not well maintained course. We probably won't play it again.
Great fun track
This course lets you use every club in the bag...well maintained beautiful track !
First time and hopefully not my last!
The staff was very helpful and courteous. The course was in excellent shape the greens were smooth but a little slow. The carts had gps which sped up the round especially with not having to check the range finder every shot. The pace of play was spectacular 3:20 and that was with one guy shooting like a 95. Can’t wait to play again.
rest room horrors
Visiting rest room prior to starting golf was a bad experience. Smelly no dish soap available. There was a truck "Demolition dynamite" nearly completely blocking path to Hole 1. Greens were extra slow. Fairways were nearly bald at many places. I encountered a group of 5 ahead of me. One of them would spray the ball everywhere including water and would go fishing for lost ball to boot. They lacked decency and did not let me pass them (single golfer). There was no ranger in sight. This course can be devilish with very tight space for 2nd shots. This can be a course which beckons you to come back but I will wait a while until they get their act together
For a while... Perfect
Haven't been out since 17 closed first time around. This day greens were full and lush a little slow but I'm sure they are waiting for a good time to cut them. Very pleased
Top notch course
Enjoyable day. Other than landing in an old Divet in a fairway, I didn’t have one bad lie all day. First time I can say that in a very very long time. Most courses around this area have some kind of hard pan and runoff areas that are bare and Sandy. Not here, great condition. Greens a little on the slower side but good condition and rolled true.
Great track
Challenging and fun...plenty of beauty and some great risk reward holes as well. A++
Great Experience
Cheval was overall in great condition when we played. We were able to play 18 holes in just over 3 hours and the staff was welcoming and friendly.
Very Nice Course amazing houses.
Really enjoyed this course, it was in great shape from tee to green. It is fairly open but trouble lurks every where if you are a little wild on your shots. Staff where friendly and pace of play was pretty good. I will definitely add to my list of frequent courses to play in area,
Always a good time
“ home if the 4 hour game” ... it’s true even when it’s busy you move from one hole to another with minimum wait. Fairways are for experienced players. Love the club at cheval!
Great course for a great price.
We will be coming back. They are taking great precautions to keep players separated and having fun.
Good value course
Enjoyed the layout. For the money it was a solid day- its a course you have to think shots out and hit greens on.
