Indian Canyons Golf Resort - North Course

We were greeted by name when we pulled into parking lot/bag drop. Really friendly guys. Woman in pro shop checked us in right away and starter was very helpful. Moved us up to play with another twosome who’s other group didn’t show.. Overseeded tees, greens and fairways but nothing in rough. Greens looked spotty green but rolled fast and true. (And very firm). Layout is fun. Fairway traps are pretty sad. No sure if they are being converted to grass traps or what, but they are sure not being taken care of. Pace of play was ok, course was very busy. Played 90 degree rule running down the rough on either side. There are only cart paths at greens and tees. Weather was great and it was a fun day.

The golf course has challenging holes, California architecture on both sides of the Fairway that is enjoyable to look at.

Knowing that Bob Hope and all the old timers once played the course was very cool. It is well maintained and the staff was very friendly.

The only negative is that their back tees are Blue which should be Black because of the distance and their White tees should be Blue. It slows play as people who normally play Whites don't realize how long it is and they struggle.

Great layout , plays harder & longer than it looks.

Unfortunately course is not being looked after.

Many issues are easy fixes , like sand in the bunkers and just repairing what’s damaged. Clearly management doesn’t care because they can get $100 a head whether they spend money or not . It has been this way for years and years which is so sad because it could be the coolest Golf course in the area if they maintained the course and build on the Sinatra Rat Pack vibe . The Rat Pack hung out there for a reason , the course was great and the 60’s Bar & Club house design was super cool.

The greens were quick for this time of year and the fairways in good shape, but the rough had some areas with little or no grass - really the only complaint

I prefer the South Course for conditions and layout.

A bit Overpriced right now but we had a great time!

Staff are great!

Very nice course. Just be sure to start before 12:30 to get all the holes in during November. The mountain shadow makes the course dark by 5:00 PM.

While.not an overall challenging course compared to others, it does have a nice variety of holes. Great staff and good pace of play. Consistency is always here.
