Interesting
Course makes you plan your shots with rolling greens in good shape.
Palms a winner-Oaks stay away
We played the palms course on Friday.
Excellent shape.Greens were new buy perfect.
Tried the oaks on Sunday.
Horrible shape. Tees were terrible.
Cost more money too. Not worth it.
Oaks
Staff very friendly. Greens in excellent condition.
First Time in 40 Years
I have been driving past the Palm Aire community for over 40 years and did not even know there were golf courses inside. I found the course through Golf Now and had a wonderful golf experience. The tees, fairways and rough were in very respectable condition for a course of this age, but I call special note to the greens. The greens were the best I have played in the past 6 months in Florida including vaunted courses in Naples. This is worth a round just to experience the greens.
Very good course
Had a great day. The course was in very good condition. Staff very helpful Will definitely look forward to playing there again. Played "The Mighty Oaks"
Mighty Oaks
Friendly staff ... good course for average golfer. Fairways need better maintenance.
First Visit to the Oaks of Plm-Aire
We just moved to Palm-Aire and have played the Oaks for the first time. We were very pleased with the course. Not a difficult course, a little short on the whites. Will play the yellow tees next time. Beautifully maintained greens an course in general. Will definitly play it regularly. YH
cypress course is still a good value
the cost was in very good conditions playing time was quite acceptable and the work of the new greens prove to be very enjoyable
Great course conditions
Greens are flawless and consistent. Finished 18 holes in 3 hrs as a twosome. Well maintained traps and tee boxes. Will golf again. Some of the starters can work on their sense of humor, others are great.
Where is the Ranger?
I enjoy the layout of the course. The fairways were in decent shape. The greens were in sad shape. Divots everywhere. I even saw cart marks on the fringe on one hole. Pace of play was annoyingly slow. People playing the blues that have no business doing so. And then waiting for their second shot because people are in the green on a par 5. Give me a break. I'm an 8 handicap and I gladly play the whites. Get the ranger out there.
Great value
Great value for your money. Very nice course and facility. Hitting it consistently straight, avoiding hooks and slices, keeps the water hazards out of play. If that's a challenge, and your fairway woods and irons are more consistent, avoid the driver / distance temptations. You should score well.
Mighty Oaks at Palm Aire
Great course from tee to green. Very good condition. Will play again (and often).
Cloudy Sundayu but very smooth
I believe most of the players are local people and they know how to play quickly. On the Sunday they are extremely cloudy as usual at any place. however, they have a good manner and very smooth.
I very enjoyed and will be back for future.
Straight forward course
Very well maintained course , besides one of 2 tee boxes the course was very well maintained .
Straight forward course .. Would play again
A Friendly Course
Open fairways moderately bunkered. firm well bunkered greens, Very playable and enjoyable for the high handicapped player. Carts are in good condition and paths well marked.
Palm-aire - Oaks course
Played sunday morning in a 3some. Pace of play was fantastic (less than 3 and a half hours), greens rolled true around 8 on the stimp. Bunkers were excellent, fairways and rough average and tee below average. Staff was great, range is ok, pratice putting is good. Great value if you can get a hot deal.
Course was in good condition, and sets up for.nice play.
Just.visiting the area, and this is one of three courses that we played. As far as course, it was in good condition. I would say that out of the three that we played this was the best. The only down side to this course was the staff (or should I say the outdoor staff). From the time that I dropped off our clubs to the time that we finished play there was not a friendly smile or kind word spoken. The starter did not tell us nothing about the course, and did not say hi or bye.
I would play this course again, nice course good value.
Dependably well maintained
Played on a day following a heavy downpour the night before. Overall, the course drained well and midway through the round the fairways were dry enough for carts.
We always enjoy playing the Oaks course. It is fairly open and fair (and always fun) for all levels of golfers.
I play this course with my husband who is a single digit handicapper with me in the upper teens. We did find the greens a bit slow this past Sunday when we played, the first time this year. (We remembered them being a bit faster last Spring.) As New Englanders we like courses with smaller greens like those on the Oaks and Cypress at Palm Aire. I think that GolfNow presents a good value for the Palm Aire courses. Staff is friendly, practice green is sizeable.
Nice greens fun layout
I really like going to Palm Aire Oaks. Nice layout with a lot if challenging holes. It's usually in really nice condition, especially the greens. Played on Friday morning dispite many Canadian tourists still finished in just under 4 hours. I would recommend this place if you want a nice public course at a low price. Probably the best deal in the area.
