Cypress at Palm-Aire Country Club

I play her the most of any course in my area. For a beginner like myself, the course is fairly easy. The Par 3's are fun. There are a handful of holes that make for great driving and it's just an overall fun course.

Overall it's a good course to play. You can usually get a Tee Time throughout the day. This past weekend's weather was perfect. Unfortunately, the pace was a bit slow. 18 holes took 4 hours and 30 min. We were unable to finish the 18th hole. We started at 1:50 and were unable to complete it. It is what it is.

Extremely slow play starter have no control of the situation. Groups were sent out right on top of each other. We were told by the Starter as soon as we got there that we were not going to have a good time.

This course used to be great but the starter for the cypress course especially in the morning is an absolute clown. I’ve never been to a course where I have booked a tee time as a two-some and have been paired with another random 2 who are late and have been told to wait until they get there and have 3 four-somes that were booked almost an hour after go out before. Terrible experience and terrible starter. I suggest playing another course or playing in the afternoon when he isn’t there.

First of all, there was nobody on the course. The tee-offs are horrible ,no grasse, thé fairways are ok and thé Greens are ok

The upkeep of this course is in dire need, almost all 18 greens were damaged and one hole the tee box was closed and they had you tee off from a temporary tee box in the rough, not the fairway or other open tee boxes on that hole. I tee'd the ball with a long tee for my driver and the tee was not visible and the ball was still sitting in the grass. After the fact we drove pass a forward tee box on the same hole that was open. Only highlight was staff at the clubhouse and start were very friendly.

Coarse was in pretty good shape. Tee blocks could use some work.

Do not play here. It does not matter what the rates are. Dead grass. On the tees. On the greens. No ranger and incredibly uncontrolled poor pace of play. Run down clubhouse. Range closed. It was THE worst experience we’ve ever had in Florida. Run.

I loved the course and the layout. Has plenty of challenges for all levels of golfers. Outside of the course, everything else was mediocre at best. The tee boxes are in rough shape and they really only maintain 1-2 tee boxes per hole so you may only see a difference of 20 yards between blue tees and red tees on some holes. The tees sometimes were 5 yards apart. I purposefully booked a 7am tee time to be the first one off for the day so I could get a quick round in to get home to my family at home. I got told to hold up when arriving at 6:40 and that I can’t leave the cart area until the figure out who they are going to pair me with. I didn’t want to be paired with anyone but thought maybe they just wanted to have me share a cart. However, they didn’t and still had me ride by myself but was gonna play with a two-some making our group a threesome. I asked if I could at least go to the putting green and was told no. The driving range was closed. So they finally let me go around 7:10 and when I arrive to tee box, 3 groups of foursomes were already ahead of us. The handling off the tee times and carts was absurd. But I was able to tell my group I needed to play ahead. Once I worked through the other groups in front of me it was smooth sailing and I enjoyed my round of golf. I say all this to just say, the staff and how tee times are handled are not worthy of a 3 star review. But this is a nice course with a nice layout, but it also needs some TLC and a dedicated groundscrew to get it back up to great shape. I will be back, I enjoyed it enough to do that. I just know what to expect this go around.
