Dad Miller Golf Course

Pace of play is terrible. Not worth it to play here for the price of money paid when. 5 hours to play 14 holes, ridiculous. SLOW!! with no consideration for others playing.

On the 3rd hole approx. 100 yards out I stepped on a ground bee hive and was bit 12 times, the grounds keeping came off his tractor and assisted with chasing bees away which also attacked him. My playing partner informed me that bees are known to migrate coarse. I later informed Marshal and he told me bee are common. Later when I completed playing I informed Starter (Toby Todd), not sympathetic at all, his response was "bees are migratory". I assume he's professional Entomologist, my issues is course knew of bee issues and did not warn to look out for ground hives.

The course was in good shape. I did not have a problem with the course conditions. However, I did have some major problems with other things...
1) The staff was aerating the greens during play. Why was the course not closed for half a day instead of making players deal with fighting the staff and crew moving from green to green
2) Was constantly being hit from behind by the players behind us. Nobody ever came forward to apologize...
3) A foursome was in front of us and they were moving just a tad bit faster than a snail. However, they would not let us play thru! When we pulled up behind them on the tee box they looked at us like we were "bothering them".
4) I complained to the Marshall about #s 2 & 3....his response was "That is the way the local population play and you just have to deal with it." totally unsatisfactory response!!!!!
I have played from east coast to west coast and I have never seen nor heard anything like this! Needless to say, I will never play this course again nor will I refer it to anyone else.

Best time to play this track is early AM, unless you don't mind a long round (4 1/2+ hrs.) Course is in good condition and the greens are easy to read. Subtle breaks are abundant, but can be easily seen by the average putter. Had a great time and will return to this course again!

I've golfed in Orange County for over twenty years and can't believe I've overlooked this course. Not great by any stretch, but a fun track that is on par with any muni in OC. Food was great, fairways were decent, and the greens were well taken care of. Looking forward to playing again.

The course was in bad shape. Fairways were very dry. Grass was dead through most of the course . The course was also overbooked. There was three to four groups per hole. I would rather pay double the price to play at a better course.

The course is a little tight , the holes are close to each other, so their is the danger of getting hit by someone on the adjoining fairway.

Staff at course was very nice and informative (some tips on issues with one of the fairways).
Course was in decent shape for later in the season, greens were really nice, rolled true and decent speed.
I had not played here in a while but we will put it back in the rotation.

Good course for the price, especially when you purchase a tee time with a hot deal associated with it at Golf Now.com

If you hit the ball in the wrong fairway watch out for the older guys picking up your ball! Happens a lot!!

Slow play was not governed by marshalls for the first nine holes. Two groups walking in front of of us walking were holding up game. Since we were waiting at every hole, we decided to pair up with the threesome in front of us for a fivesome. At the ninth hole a staff member drove up and was a little rude. He told us fivesomes were not allowed, but we can play the fivesome on the back nine. Then on the tenth hole, he agrily came up and said he already told us once! We split up after explaining we were only following his direction. Other than that strange experience, the course was nice and I would like to play again before I make an opinion.

Great deal for a relatively easy course. Needed some TLC in some areas but overall pretty good shape. Glad to see tee boxes on 6, 7, and 9 repaired.

I have grown up playing this course. It is not very challenging but gives you a great opportunity to work on your game. It is well maintained so shots from the bunker, rough and fairways are quite true. Putting is on the slower side with very little break. I love this course, but it not worth paying more than $30 w/ a cart, find a GolfNow deal and play it. It's a great practice round!

The course is beautifully maintained. The tee boxes, fairways, greens were excellent. Very enjoyable.

Greens and fairways in excellent condition. The Rough, yes long cut and it was a true rough !!!

The only thing I dislike is the length of time it takes to play.
My tee-time was 1/2 hour late the pace was slow, no marshall to push slow player to move, disappointed.

This course was really nice. It played a little slow and had no marshalls around. No golf carts roaming the course with beverages either. And, what is up with hole 16 -that hole was a little funky.

The guy who checked us in, though it was not busy, was unwelcoming. Beautiful day and the guys who completed our foursome were great.

Absolutely terrible greens, fairways grass dead and hard as a rock. Fairways horrible as well as entire course. This course was the worst I have ever seen it. The place is not being maintained at all and it is not worth the money . Looks like a cow pasture and piled up dead grass, no sand and rocks in the sand traps. Anyone thinking of playing here the pass and save the money.

Nice course for all level of players, but is especially nice for the novice golfer.
