River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Another Great River View!
Everything went well...golfed with 2x same-skill-level golfers as me...had a great time except for my 3-putts!
enjoy my sport.
very good time to practice and play my favorite sport.
New Carts...No GPS On Them
They got new carts! But they don't have GPS. I didn't realize how much I used their GPS system on the old carts until Saturday.
It's technical. If you know your shot shape and distances, you'll do fine. If you don't, it's going to be a long round. Elevated tee boxes onto fairways along the riverbed, then up to an elevated green. Then you have 14 and 18 where you are hitting from elevated tee to the elevated green for par 3s. That seems really unfair to those playing the red tees.
5 hours on the weekend is normal, we didn't wait long, but they have a rhythm once you get to the 4th tee box. Unless there's on-course lessons.
Used to be an excellent value: $60ish for a weekend round and small bucket, and you got a cart with GPS.
Disappointing. No snack cart to be found; bathroom was closed; play was very backed up with no Marshall in sight. Won't be coming back.
Solid Course, but Set Your Expectations
The good: pace of play, greens, cost.
The bad: uneven tee boxes, some fairways are in not great shape, cart paths are in rough condition.
For the money, you get a solid value, especially with some local courses getting into the $80-$120 range. Green fees here are fair, even if the course might not be in the best shape. It's a fun and challenging layout and if your putter gets hot, you can score.
It was cool to see Colton the course super driving around to interact with the staff and some of the players. Gave the course more of an upscale feel to know that the staff and management take their jobs seriously.
Fun layout
Fun and challenging design. However, having homeless camps along the course was not ideal or pleasant to be around.
Course is getting better!
New management is making lots of improvements to the course.
Greens as always very good
Fairways improving even though we entered the summer heat . They are watering more!
Tees are improving too.
New carts. But missing the GPS:(
Overall what a great morning of golf.!
Good for a value round if you dont bring kids
The greens are actually kept up real nicely which is the most important to me. They roll pretty pure and are quicker than your average value-course. The tee boxes are pretty chew3d up though, can be tough to find good footing unless you go way behind the tee box or outside of it. There are some homeless people that wander around the cart path areas so probably not the best course to bring your kids. But honestly, I would recommend it still. For like $40 you get real decent golf out of it. Bring a few extra balls in case ya go in the Santa Ana River.
Waited atleaset10 minutes on Every hole
We had to wait and wait and wait. We were backed up and waiting with 2 groups behind us waiting on each hole as well. the pace of play was horrible.
Super neat layout!
The course has a super neat layout and is fairly challenging for a beginner golfer like me. Would come back for sure!
A special design especially you play the first time
I say that you should play this course 2 times to enjoy and understand the course
