River View Golf Course

Lots of skinny fairways and for now the dry riverbed but when El Niño there are going to be even more lost balls.

One of the best "bang for your buck" courses in Orange County

This place has major management and course issues. I booked 18 and upon arrival tgey said the back nine was being worked on so I'd have to play the front twice. For a Wednesday morning, the place was packed and pace was really slow. At the turn I found that they had continued to put people out so there was a now unmanageable backup. The tee boxes are sand only, no grass. The greens were punched and sanded. If your course is under this level of disrepair it would be better to just close until you provide a exceptable experience.

I like this challenging course, in pretty good condition except the bunkers are hard compressed sand. Please upgrade them with soft sand like Green River did. The greens are in great condition. I’ll be back soon!

This is a course I always want to challenge myself to play.

Front nine was great, ,good pace, good fairway condition. Back nine was a bit tough, Tighter fairway, hilly, fairway not so good. Found some homeless near rhe bridge. It was scary playing by yourself.

Challenging course but can be forgiving.

Greens are stellar. And not too fast but true!

Fairways are good and getting better every week. Lot's of watering by the grounds keeper.

I like the let grass grow along the river bed so your ball doesn't go in!

Took a good golfer with us for his first time. Really important to help him with course knowledge. He loved it.

Half the Tees are good but others are rough. Staff is planning on sodding, I think.

Sand traps mostly wet and difficult.

Overall for the money is stellar.

Seems like the tee boxes are sand/dirt more than grass.

Love this course. Very challenging, at least for beginners like myself. Best deal around by far.

I forgot the course checked in knowing that they had a share ride policy but you could pay extra to ride solo, the starter refused that option because they would run out of carts , okay

Small narrow range , nice practice putting green

Got paired up with a nice group of young men fairly new to golf one was better than the other two they played scramble against him and I was playing on my own From the tips (Blues) here . Narrow is an understatement on this course. Fairways are not the best and the name sake Riverview is referring to the concrete storm aqueduct that's dry with a sandy bed and garbage strewn marsh in places where water doesn't drain the bridges over this feature look like a makeshift ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS

Built a path to get across . Basically the course in on the "SANTA ANA RIVER BED" as we progressed trough the first 5 holes started to see groups of 6-8

On the course this was going to push the pace way up at the turn I inquired about what gave with the overgrown groups ? Was there a private tournament ?

The starter said no and I asked how could this be the answer was a paltry "Sorry" any how

I couldn't wait for the round to be over because I would never come back to this course again .

I picked the course because aim reviews were positive and so I thought I would try it out .

Everything was great on the course; play pace was perfect!
