About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Golfer Reviews
Bait n switch
I forgot the course checked in knowing that they had a share ride policy but you could pay extra to ride solo, the starter refused that option because they would run out of carts , okay
Small narrow range , nice practice putting green
Got paired up with a nice group of young men fairly new to golf one was better than the other two they played scramble against him and I was playing on my own From the tips (Blues) here . Narrow is an understatement on this course. Fairways are not the best and the name sake Riverview is referring to the concrete storm aqueduct that's dry with a sandy bed and garbage strewn marsh in places where water doesn't drain the bridges over this feature look like a makeshift ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
Built a path to get across . Basically the course in on the "SANTA ANA RIVER BED" as we progressed trough the first 5 holes started to see groups of 6-8
On the course this was going to push the pace way up at the turn I inquired about what gave with the overgrown groups ? Was there a private tournament ?
The starter said no and I asked how could this be the answer was a paltry "Sorry" any how
I couldn't wait for the round to be over because I would never come back to this course again .
I picked the course because aim reviews were positive and so I thought I would try it out .
I have no axe to grind just my honest review
GREAT PLAY PACE TODAY
Everything was great on the course; play pace was perfect!
No Marshall!!!
Got behind 4 young men who played army golf-hit left hit right!!! Then maybe lucky and get on green and maybe putt only 4 times - on every hole! We finally got to 9 and they decided to go to clubhouse so we skipped 9 went to 10 and never saw them again. They were 4 holes behind us when we finished #18.. With no
one to speed them up it made for a longer day. The course was fun but challenging with having to place your shots.in good locations.
Twilught
4.36 teetime Got started on time. Finished 18 in the dark with no flag 3.5 hours total. They are sprucing the course up and have trimmed trees and have new carts.
Good value at twilight price.
Riverview
Lots of golf for the price, very challenging. Staff was great!! Greens were great too
Tough Little Course
Most people don’t play this course since it is not a Tier 1 or 2 course. That is their mistake and good for the rest of us. It is located in Santa Ana on the run off river bed. If you can open yourself to see the course it is actually difficult, narrow, and very friendly. It has challenges of hitting over the River bed, narrow fairways, and enough par 5’s. They are very golf fee friendly with brand new golf carts.
Another Great River View!
Everything went well...golfed with 2x same-skill-level golfers as me...had a great time except for my 3-putts!
enjoy my sport.
very good time to practice and play my favorite sport.
New Carts...No GPS On Them
They got new carts! But they don't have GPS. I didn't realize how much I used their GPS system on the old carts until Saturday.
It's technical. If you know your shot shape and distances, you'll do fine. If you don't, it's going to be a long round. Elevated tee boxes onto fairways along the riverbed, then up to an elevated green. Then you have 14 and 18 where you are hitting from elevated tee to the elevated green for par 3s. That seems really unfair to those playing the red tees.
5 hours on the weekend is normal, we didn't wait long, but they have a rhythm once you get to the 4th tee box. Unless there's on-course lessons.
Used to be an excellent value: $60ish for a weekend round and small bucket, and you got a cart with GPS.
Disappointing. No snack cart to be found; bathroom was closed; play was very backed up with no Marshall in sight. Won't be coming back.
