Destroyer at Seal Beach Navy Golf Course
About
The Navy Golf Course Seal Beach is a 27-hole facility that includes the championship Destroyer Course and the nine-hole executive Cruiser Course. The 6,780-yard Destroyer Course presents a challenge even for low handicappers with a slew of hazards coming into play throughout. The small greens have challenging slopes ranging from subtle breaks to dramatic drop-offs. To make them even tougher, you'll find strategically placed bunkers lurking along the edges. The tricky doglegs, which are mostly par 4s, will force you to think carefully about your club selection, and to top it all off, water makes an appearance on almost every hole. It's a long golf course that feels even longer due to the rolling terrain, but it is more forgiving than it seems with long, wide fairways that won't penalize you for being slightly errant.

Fantastic course and conditions. Horrible pace
Such beautiful course with great conditions and greens. But they’re times every 9 minutes and the lack of a Marshall enforcing pace of play the rounds and the back ups get long. Today took 3 hours and 20minutes to play 13 holes and left for dinner. Last week was 4 hours and 45 for 18holes.
Destroyer Course
I had a great time and the course was in great condition, if you haven’t already tried this course, give it a try, challenging but fair for the normal player as myself, Thanks Navy 🇺🇸
Why have to share Golf Cart !
The staff insist to ask me to share a cart with another player regardless there are plenty of carts available. The course is great, and pace is fairly reasonable, but I really don't understand why staff have to fit 2 players into one cart. Thanks.
Unfortunate first time experience
Very excited to play this course with my son. Unfortunately after the 2nd hole we came to a grinding halt. each tee box had 3-4 groups. No marshall to help pace of play. and that is a killer for golf experience. no snack cart, no 9th hole food. we left after 11 as it was not worth waiting 15-20 minutes each tee box. Overall and interesting layout and in fairly good condition. Understand that its reasonably priced public course but there needs to be better management of players. Hope they figure it out.
Friday Round
We played the Destroyer course for the first time! Wow were very happy with the condition of the cpourse@ Fairways and Greens were in very good shape of a public course! It was 90 degrees so very hot! Pace of play a little slow! We had a tee time of 1:39pm and only made it to thru 13th hole. It's tough when you mix in walkers with cart play and don't spread out tee times. That is only way to keep flow of the course moving! It's an art ! Great value and will be playing again!
Wonderful
It was wonderful experience.
I played a golf with husband yesterday.
Another rwo guys joined us.
The Navy golfpark was best place to play golf where
I ever been to.
And its easy and good cost though Golfnow.
I want ro play again here , too.
Thanks for letting me have a wnderful memory.
Great course.
Even though my wife and I tee off late in the afternoon at 1:57pm, we end up playing up to the 15th hole! The course was nice, and everyone was friendly. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
Fun but challenging course. The best value in the area
Navy is one of my favorite courses in the area. It's a challenging course and the conditions are usually really good. I walked for the first time, and I did notice that there was quite a bit of bird droppings stuck to my push cart but nothing terrible. Pace of play can be a little slow especially on the par 3 holes. The entire round was over 5 hours.
With long beach courses charging ~$100, Navy is a steal at half the price. Amazing value.
