Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Great layout needs work
This is a good place to play it is fun and hard . But it could be a great place to play the course a great layout .it has Five sets of tees . So the course sets up to all types of players . It is worth a try to see .
Diamond Valley
need to make a map to get to NEXT hole.it's just so hard to find the next hole.
Some challenging, tight holes
I had heard mixed reviews about Diamond Valley and wanted to play it myself. We booked our tee time online and arrived for play an hour early to take advantage of the driving range and warm-up area. The pro shop would not check us in early and the driving range was closed for the day and there's only so long you can chip and putt. The fairways are in nice shape and the greens were smooth and slow. The course was just starting to cut them down after overseeding.
Grat course for the money
Course was in good as shape as any in the area. No one on the course so playing was great. Take your time and enjoy the views and the weather. Several holes are challenging for all levels of play. Staff very nice and helpful. Carts are newer and nice. Will play this course anytime I can.
Waste of Money
Maintenance is nonexistent at this course.Carts-bathrooms need to be updated .Greens uncut fairways wet and muddy sand in bunkers like concrete Would of been a good 10.00 ROUND
played quick
Course was in great shape and it was empty. Played 18 holes in 2 hours 45 minutes.
Having Fun
The course was in great shape. The views are in creditable. Nice wide fairways and long let the big dog eat.
This place really is a diamong.
Played here on10/22/14 and the course was recently over-seeded but was in close to pristine condition. The greens were still longish, but they were blemish free. This is seriously one of the prettiest courses in So Cal, the grounds-keeping is top tier and pride shows everywhere you look. Also, there are no houses or condos to deal with, and you really have to blow it to lose golf balls. There are certainly more challenging courses to play in So Cal, but that's not the draw here..its the beauty of the place that captures you. Played the round with my GF who is in management at La Costa and she was totally in love and impressed with the course. I call it a must play because of the conditions and setting. (Tip) Play in the afternoon when there's nobody there.
This course has small challenges
Most fairways were dry. More watering will bring it back to good form. Greens were OK, but needed to be cut shorter. Overall the course was in decent shape.
Fun Course
This was a fun course. My only nock was the greens were inconsistent. Some of them are long and slow well others were very fast due to the fact that they are reseeding the course.
Wait to play here
Over seeding, too wet to really play. Greens live thick carpet.
Decent course
The course was in good condition and the green fee is exceptional. The greens are good, but the 10th and 11th green has a different grass to them. You have to know the lay out of the course, if not a good drive off the tee can get you into the waste area or roll off the side.
The course management is so so. We teed of at 7:30 am and they had a 10:30am shot gun tournament. We ended up stuck behind 2 groups of tournament players on 17th and 18th hole. Literally had to beg them to let us play through so we can finished our round. Thankfully, we ran into great decent golfers and they let us play through.
Overall, the course was good. We may come back and give it another try.
Stellar course
The best course layout I have ever played so far. Truly a diamond in the rough, a spot definely in a golfers bucket list. Friendly staff, great out door dinning.
very pleased
Even some pretty hard rain a few times throughout my round couldn't ruin this day. The course was in great shape and there was only one other group on the course with me. Finished in two hours. Didn't like the drive but other than that I was very pleased and I will be back.
Great value
The course is in very good condition. As good or better than course that charge twice as much. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip.
Why so few playing?
This is a delightful course that has matured well over the years. The fairways are as good as any private country club this time of year. The greens are good mostly bermuda but a few bent which are great. All hold shots well. This is a fun course why aren't more playing it? I hadn't played in 7 years, moved out of the area, but I can assure you I'll be playing frequently. Bargain price for quality of golf.
Great course for the money!
We traveled over an 1hr 15mins to play this course and have always enjoyed it except for this last outing. We had an 8am tee time. There was a 4some in front of us who stayed on top of the 4some in front of them. The problem was the front 4some was very slow and had to be at least 1-2 holes behind the group in front of them. There was no marshall on the course to keep the pace of play. Never had this problem before. We'll definitely try it again hoping the pace will be better.
Diamond Valley
Challenging course, you will have trust your GPS and/or maps. Good views, fun to play.
Great value,great course
Paid $12 for 18 holes at 2:00PM' The weather was perfect about 80 to 85 and a nice breeze blowing all day. Fairways were green and in good shape. Greens were perfect. After the round drove in to Hemet for great Mexican food at Carnitas Express.
Hot day at Diamond Valley
Great service and value for th $$. Lots of variety, and numerous challenges.
