General Old Golf Course

For what you pay, this might be the best course in the IE. Sand is awesome and greens are in good shape for the most part. Lots of amateurs here though so you will always find balls marks on the green that need to be fixed. Plus they don’t put and sand or anything like that in the carts to help fill divots so lots of those too

A little tough in Riverside since there's usually a strong afternoon breeze/wind that will have you questioning your club selection. Some of the people that play are kind of rough, but at this price you'll see people like that. But for this price the course is great!

Snuck out early to play and found that the GO greenskeepers did a great job this spring bringing the greens and fairways back to life.

Once again had a wonderful day on the course. General Olds didn’t disappoint, great pace and best of all the two German Sheppards at tee box 1….

Greens currently aerated so rough putting. Fairways and tee boxes are ok. I think when the greens are done rejuvenating themselves it will be good! If you want an inexpensive round, chill atmosphere then definitely give it a shot.

This was the worst course I’ve ever played in my life. It was only $20 but if it was free it still wasn’t worth it.!!!!

Once pace of play was moving, it got alot better but we had a 1:30 tee time, we were on time and think we finally got a cart at 1:45 and teed off at 2:20 ish. 6 hr 15 mins to play 18 holes.... it was slowwwwwwwwww. No cart girls or any sales along the course, rough is VERY rough. anything outside fairways would be some long long grass easy to lose balls. I will say greens and fairways were maintained very well though.

Play The Corrs Friday afternoon Fairways were decent shape greens played challenging and decent. If you keep the ball on the fairway this is a fun place to play. I like to challenge the practice facility a General Old is outstanding three different areas to practice chipping a large putting area with real grass on the driving range, but what topped the afternoon off was the Air Force Thunderbirds doing? Practice runs right over my head it was awesome. The staff is friendly the cart made it around fine. You could tell that people have been beaten up the carts.

This course has had better days. They ran 40 min behind. On hole two there was 6 groups deep waiting to go. Our other group had 2 carts die on them. The course was very rough. It’s very easy to lose your ball, I lost 7 and I usually only lose two on average. This was my first and last time.
