General Old Golf Course

I have played this course hundreds of time and it used to be my favorite in the inland empire, for the price. But the lack of water on the grass and on the course in general is really sad.

Course was not super challenging. Hit em straight and you can shoot scratch golf here. No water to worry about and hard to loose a ball. I tried.

It is very obvious that when the pandemic hit course maintenance shut down. It is hard as a rock on the fairways not to mention it is either sandy or like concrete in the rough. No chance of recovery when not in the fairway. Greens were in good shape though. Completely overpriced for the product you receive. Have played here many times,but never in this condition. Very sad given the history of this course. Will not be returning ever and will encourage friends to do the same.

Green is good fairways just not fair condition side cart is clean

The course was great throughout the winter and early spring. Now the fairways are drying out and the grass is disappearing. The greens are still fine and it looks like they will keep them in reasonable playing shape. I’ve always liked this course and have played it many times over the years. It seems like every year the same thing happens. They get the fairways in a reasonable condition then let them go.

The staff, the practice area, the grill and even the pro shop at great. The greens fees are reasonable but not if they don’t keep the fairways up.

Course has left and right fairways . You can play almost any shot scenario. Good practice course

Management does not control activities on the course. We had 1st tee time of the morning and numerous groups behind us rushed out to open holes in front of us . Players were jumping all around and several started off the back nine which slowed us down when we made the turn. One elderly gentleman was on hole 16 playing by himself and playing three balls each hole. The last 3 holes took us an hour to play behind him.

Won't play here again.

After seeing all the poor reviews I had to check it out for myself. I use to play here quite a bit and even considered it my home course for awhile.

I was pleasantly surprised by the condition. Tee boxes had just been worked on but fairways were in good shape and the greens still rolled well, Pace of play was a little slow but you are always gonna have people trying to give lessons while they play. But a beautiful day and the threesome I played with were good company. Getting ready to move soon but I wanted to play The General and stop and see my Dad who is buried on the other side of the driving range.
