General Old Golf Course

The fairways were painted green most of the grass was brown had it not been painted green. There was a lot of dirt on the sides of the fairways so if you missed the fairways you were in the dirt alot of the time. It is usually not this bad but I had to write a review this time it was pretty bad. I didn't know you could upload photos, I will take photos next time good or bad.

I like the layout. Pa6ge of play was fine because the course was not busy. Staff was great. Unfortunately, the fairways are dead. Half the time I was hitting off of dirt from the middle of the fairway.

Course was wide open and the pace was fast. We were done in under 3 hours.. course played long and fair..

Greens are horrible and bumpy. A lot have a virus eating the greens. Dry and dead fairways. Had to call pro shop to speed up hackers slowing everyone down. Compared this course to the Green river goat hill. Will not be coming back here

Course is in awful shape. Rock hard fairways because they are basically not grass. Fairways are covered in a lime green mulch/fertilizer to look like grass. Essentially hitting off of dirt all day. Would be worth $20 bucks to go out and mess around, but not the $47 they were charging.

Fairways are dirt and the greens are punched. Not worth any amount to play there.

Fairways were painted green. It was sad to see this course in such bad shape. I hope they are able to get it back to what it used to be.

The greens at General Old are usually in decent shape and make it worth playing out there. Today was the worst I’ve seen the greens in years. I get the dormant grass, however if they didn’t paint the fairways green the entire course would be brown and mostly dirt. We teed off before 8 am so I figured I’d get breakfast at the turn. Well when we finally made the turn over 2.5 hours later, I went inside to find out they only serve breakfast until 10am. It was a rough one.

This is hands down the worst course I have ever played and 2nd worse in the Inland Empire. The only grass you will see is the tee boxes and the greens. Everything else is painted dirt. I can’t believe they actually take peoples money to play here. NOT WORTH ANYTHING OVER $10

There is a reason that reservations are available. This place was truly atrocious. Fairways were basically dirt and clay with a few patches of extremely thin grass. They were so far behind that we teed off about 15 minutes after our time, even then we were so backed up. Only good part of the course is the driving range. Better grass there. Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Do not attend!!!

Conditions are terrible. Needs water. Hard as a rock. Will not be back until they get real grass.

Course wasn’t too bad, but we had a 5 sum in front of us that was taking forever and wasn’t letting us play through even though we were a 2 sum.
