Overpriced.
Too expensive, Just a basic course, Far better value at other courses in the same area. Left there dusty and dirty from the cart paths being dirt. Don't recommend unless all other courses are booked.
Too much dirt
Not enough grass, narrow fairways that are still just patched with dirt. No roughs behind the greens either. Just all dirt
Bad shape
The course is in bad shape very little grass & the grass that is there is in bad shape so SAD!
Needs water
The greens are in really good condition. Same with the tee boxes. The fairways need water. They are dried out right now. They thatched hem recently so they are scarred and barren in places. Only good thing is your ball will run forever right now. Once the fairways come back the course will be great.
Disappointed
I last played here 5 years ago and at that time the course was in pretty good shape...not so much now. Very thin fairways, uneven tee boxes, hard pack sand in bunkers are just a few of the issues. Even the driving range was lacking grass in the roped hitting area. We got a "hot deal" and now we know why. I did think the greens were in good shape and were good sized compared to some postage stamp greens on other courses in the area. However, this was a letdown from what I expected to show my son for his first visit here.
Terrible course
First time playing this course and it was terrible! I’m not sure how It is possible to hit a great drive down the center of the fairway and hit off of dirt! Sprinklers where running on most holes. Extremely crowded on every hole 2 to 3 groups playing each hole at a time! I definitely do NOT recommend playing this course especially for the price. Avoid this course pay a little more for 100 percent better quality.
First time on The General
Nice layout greens were great. Tees and fairways thin. Bunkers with no sand like hard pan. Good value for the money. It won’t be our first choice in the Riverside area.
