Not bad for the money
I drove to this course in Riverside County from San Diego because San Diego courses are still closed due to COVID 19. This is a very ordinary course, but it was well maintained and the greens were in good shape. For the money, it was certainly worth playing one time.
Not ready
If your ball wasn’t in the fairway it’s lost. Even when we knew where the ball was we couldn’t find them. I have NEVER lost so many we’ll hit ball as I did today!!!
We were a threesome and lost a total of 10+.
The course simply wasn’t ready for play it needed a lot more work. Did not enjoy round at all!!!!!!!!!!
This was my first time playing this course and I was super excited since courses were closed due to Covid19. The layout was pretty basic and should’ve been a fun course to speed play through a 18. Especially since there wasn’t much traffic. If you didn’t hit the fairways or green you were guaranteed to lose your ball. The roughs were in horrible condition. Literally up to my knees in some parts of the course. I understand that they just reopened but common. At least try to maintenance it a little before letting people back on. Or at least not charge $50 a round. RIP sleeves of ProV1s SMH!
Tried to cancel do to not feelibg well
I tried canceling do to illness and not wanting to take the chance of getting anyone else sick. Was not able to. Very disappointed in this app with what is going on in the world!!! N
Great Course
Played with a buddy and had a great time. The staff is cool and the putting and chipping greens are in good shape.
The fairways are in amazing condition. Really impressed. The rough, on the other hand, is ROUGH. Like weeds, gopher holes, and dirt. It wasnt terrible and it was still easy to find your golf ball if you shanked it but in comparison to the great fairways, it was tough to play off.
The pace of play started out very slow. Got to hole 5 and had to wait for a foursome and twosome in front of us for the next 4 holes. At the turn we were so fed up with the slow play we decided to play the front 9 again. That’s when the day turned from good to great. We played the front 9 again without stopping, and me and my friend play fast. We were then able to play the back 9 uninterrupted, twice! So I’m total we played 36 holes in about 5 hrs.
Lots of fun. Great course, good amenities, and neat layout. Would definitely recommend!
Unfriendly Check-in 2/6/20
It seemed to me that course has a prejudice against Golf Now Hot tee time players. Got to course 40 minutes prior to start time anticipating hitting a large bucket of balls. But when I asked for a cart to go pickup my clubs, I was told to come back 15 minutes prior to start time. Being 70 years old i explained it was a long way to walk back to car and to come back carrying clubs. Starter would not waive his 15 minute rule.
That attitude cost the course two large buckets of balls. And a future customer.
Fair condition
I would not say this course is in good condition the fairways are very spotty the bunkers are just groomed dirt no sand very inconsistent and the greens are OK
Nice course
Went on a weekday. Course was in good condition. Can’t beat it for the money. Fairways in good condition. No complaints .
Course was in fine shape.
We played from the white tees. The length was 6300 yds. fairways and greens in great shape. Greens were fast and true. We will play this course again.
Very slow play
We tee’d off around noon and could not come close to finishing the round. Over four hours to complete 12 holes so we left. Before leaving, we ventured ahead a few holes and found the culprit group. A foursome with nearly three holes open ahead of them was more interested in socializing with each other than maintaining a reasonable pace. No course Marshall though so we could not remotely finish. Waste of money. Never returning .
I took my son for golfing , He plays decent golf plays HS varsity but has not played in a while due to His AP classes, but today he get to take a break and relax from stressful school work. The is in really bad shape. And the person in the pro shop I was not really helpful. I won’t play here if I’m paying for full price.
Trash course
Don’t waste your money it’s trash sorry but it’s the truth
Wrong time of year & poor service
Although I have played General Olds numerous times, the course is pretty beat up. The weather really takes its toll on this course. It’s best in January- April/May.
Most importantly, the pro shop staff, Kiki I believe, was arrogant & rude. I won’t got into details, but I’ve been to many golf courses and a member at two different CC’s His behavior was atrocious.
I wont be back until 2020. Plenty of other options
