La Contenta Golf Club

The course of play was very very slow

Challenging course for the most part, especially hitting from the sloped terrain!

Course has recovered from the drought.

Needs to invest money into repairing the cart paths! Fast greens!!!

I have always enjoyed playing La Contenta. It is a challenging course that requires accurate tee shots to score well. I was disappointed the last time that I played in the condition of the greens. Several of them had dead areas or spots where the grass was being reseeded.

This course is beautiful and challenging but make sure to bring extra balls.

Awesome food and bar. Enjoyed talking with the bartender very much so even though it was for a short time. The view scenery and wildlife was and added bonus. Saw some deer, turkey, and a turtle. Only complaint was that the course was over watered which might have been because they punched the greens a few weeks earlier but still for this time of the year it would have been nice to have been able to benifit with a little extra roll on my drives down the fairway while its still dry warm weather

They punched the greens a week ago but it was still good enough to play. There were less players due to some sands and punch holes on the green. Still good enough to get a low score. The Golfnow.com price was good also. Thanks.

The weather was great. Not to many people out on the course. What happened to the some of the putting greens? Number 1, 10, 15 and 16 all showed heavy wear and tear. Overall it was a relaxing day

The course was well take care as before. The temperature was 103 degrees at pm. We had to quit. Pro shop staff are always friendly and had a wisdom to let us start early since it is hot. Not all golf course staffers are like that. Some people lack the common sense to let the players start a little early even if the course is practically empty. Some of them act like a big shot ordering the players. No training on customer relations. I can easily name those courses in Sacramento area. Not La Contenta staff. They are the best in the business. It appears that they are somewhat letting the course go. Lack of total mowing and greens are showing some deterioration.

Round took over 5 hours!!

fairways good condition, greens not so. pace of play

5 hour round.

Started 30 minutes late, no explanation was provided. The group in of us played the black tees-they had no business there.

2 1/2 hrs to play front nine. No Marshall after the first tee.

The course is in very good condition, soft greens! They roll a bit slow though.

Greens number 1 & 18 need major work. Green 17 looks like some form of grass disease is starting to take hold. It appears if the is not addressed, most of the green will be lost before September 2016.

Always have a great time at La Contenta, nice course to play.

The greens are in terrible shape. They have large spots that are burned or have a fungus. Not a fun round. Staff claims they will aerate in August. Main.t worker will just keep on mowing even if the are in line with your intended aim point. They will not stop the mower or any other equioment.

Nice place to go. The course looked great. the people playing were nice too. Played with my son and had a good time. i will play again. Hoping to go out next week with a few friends. I liked all of the hole with water seem to make a little more fun. I did not have to play out of any sand trap so not sure how they were.

Great test of golf, excellent condition. Still very wet in spots due to the recent rains which is to be expected. Overall great value.

This course has great features

Interesting course, one I'd play again. Could use senior tees for old codgers like me. Par 3's of 160-200 yards just too long. Course in good shape except greens are so worn, it's like putting on glass. Bunkers are well placed but need more than just surface sand. Attractive bar and restaurant area but bartendress, while pretty, was not, well let's just say, a professional bartender.

This was my first time playing here, and it's a really fun course! Staff was awesome, and the course is a challenging one to play. There's a lot of regulars that play it and they constantly hit balls into our group, but other than that a fun experience.
