Friars/Presidio at Riverwalk Golf Club

I have played Riverwalk several times and the course has some easier and harder holes. This time the greens were sanded, but putting was okay. There are several bald spots in the fairways that could use some work.

The course was in bad shape , fairways very bad.

Greens were punched and it was not disclosed by golfnow on your Web site when making the reservation, you should request that the course notifies you.. Riverwalk golf course

The course was in perfect condition. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely play again.

The course was very nice, the one thing I didn’t appreciate was the lack of a Marshall on the course. The group ahead of us was slow and playing two balls each and the group behind us was too eager to move on and was teeing off before our second shot was finished.

Course was only average condition. Friars side was below average. Many brown spots in fairway with little grass. Mission side much better. Play took over 5 hours. No wet towels. No water provided. Cart lady was nice. Check in easy and polite. Would not recommend. But for price gave it a try

I've played this course we'll iver 100 times over 15 years and this was by far the worst conditions I've ever scene on the course.

100s of Large giant bare spots in all the fairways and what used to be rough. 1 to 2 inches of sand in the traps before you hit hard packed dirt. 2 foot weeds, vines growing in some if the traps. Grass, weeds growing in the water features.

I love this course, but my God it was worse that Mission Bay!

Thank God the greens were in good shape, the rest of the course was not.

Fairways were pretty ratty. Lots of hard pan spots. Greens were crazy with slope. Like putting on the Alps.

3 nine hole courses. Outdoor staff excellent. Practice putting green virtually useless. Idiotic hole placements. I’m here often to practice as well as playing and putting green is stupid. Friars course fairways beat up pretty bad. Mission and Presidio were nice and fair greens were nice. Friars greens were tough and very fast. Wrong side of hole and it wasn’t going to work out well.

Last bit on this was it is too expensive for what you have here. Friars very poor shape, all thx courses closing soon so I think money not going to be spent on it. 2 years and it’s done if you ask me

Well no waiting because they were punching the course!! Add rain and wind and cold ....sure there wasn't any waiting. Friars 9 was in bad condition except for the greens which were very good and surprisingly very fast. The wind must have dried them out some. It was better than going to work but not by much. Play Presidio and Mission, let Friars recuperate. Hopefully, rains this week and next will help.

Great time very friendly staff working hard to make our visit awesome

I really enjoyed my round of golf last Friday. I played with two other young men in their 20's that very fairly good players. The course is still under repair in some areas, but improving nicely. Over allni would say it was a good experience and look forward to playing there again.

Course is in bad shape. Pace of play is at least 5 hours.
