Decent, worth $50-$60. Not $140

Decent golf course. Don’t charge what you’re not worth.

The greens

I think in the future the green fees should be discounted because of aeration

Very solid course, but wildly overpriced for what it is. Not competitive with similar courses in the area

Coolest course around

You’re can call me crazy, but I’ve played both Journey at Pechanga and Pelican Hill North this summer, and the course I want to replay first is Coyote Hills. It’s just that cool.

Course management skills needed

On a hot summer day, the course was wide open for us. Felt like we had the course to ourselves. Course conditions very good for this time of a year. A few tee boxes were janky, but most everything else was solid. Even in the middle of the hot day, parts of the course still seemed wet. Greens were very receptive and wet. The course is very pretty routing through the hills, however definitely needs food course management skills. Great shots down the middle of the fairway can roll out of fairway and out of bounds. Not really much rough. You're either in fairway or out of bounds. Lots of fairway undulations that can be penal or you get a wrong bounce. Course is nice, but still don't think it's worth what they're charging.

Fun and well managed

Course was in great condition in early august with relatively quick greens with exception of one hole on the back nine where the pace of green was much much slower and the green generally in poorer condition than the others. The pace of play was good as marshals constantly made rounds to hurry slower groups along. The course is challenging with a good amount of hazards as well as hills. Would definitely go again.

End of a great road trip

Went on a road trip down the central coast - plan was to golf wherever we landed while driving, came across a golf moose for CVR and changed our route home to include hitting Carmel.

We were paired with a great, fun couple who knew the course well. We really enjoyed the company, the course and the service was top notch.

Would definitely include it in our plans again

Challenging Track

First time played. In great shape, just a little dry like most in SoCal. Very challenging track, especially the front 9 with repeated elevation changes. Kind of tight. Harder as first time with some blind hazards. Pace was about 4-3/4 hours on a Saturday. The last 4 holes ground to a halt.

The rate seems $20-$30 too high, but would recommend and return.
