Pala Mesa Resort
About
Pala Mesa Golf Resort is situated between Temecula wine country and the beautiful countryside of San Diego's North County. The course was carefully carved from the surrounding hillsides, providing rolling fairways and undulating greens throughout the layout. Towering oaks, sycamores, and elms blanket the course's landscape, providing the perfect complement to the stunning mountain views. The fairways are tight and lined with trees, demanding a fair amount of accuracy. The greens also play fairly quick. The golf course does provide a challenging round but it is seemingly much tougher than it actually is. Beginners should still feel comfortable taking on the course. The versatile layout in combination with the consistently good conditions have earned Pala Mesa acclaim as one of the best golf courses in San Diego County.

Great course
Course was in great shape the day I played. Greens were quick but rolled true. Whoever set the pins must of thought they were setting them for Sunday at the Masters. The greens are protected by lots of bunkers. The tee boxes and fairways were rally nice. This was my first time playing the course. The back nine was a little tricky. Lots of blind shots. I hit a lot of decent shots that ended up in bad positions.
Pala Mesa Worth the Drive
Pala Mesa Resort Golf Course required an hour and a quarter drive; however, the time spent was most certainly worth the effort. Course conditions were found to be wonderful, in great level of care. Were that I had better skill, the experience of play would have been even better 😊.
Decent course but the snack bar was closed at 3pm on a Sunday. Cart girl left at 2. For 120.00 someone should’ve been there to get something at the turn. Course was fun and greens were nice. Just WAY overpriced.
Staffs are always friendly
The course is always maintained. Best place to play solo or group. People are friendly in this place. Staffs are awesome. Been here for 4 weeks now. Always convenient to practice on the range.
Course earned the green fees
Great course in great condition. Tough on the first round but once you’ve played it will be a place you can score low.
Great conditions.
Hadn't played for a while Course and best condition I've ever seen it. Played in three and a half hours. Paid 70 bucks on a deal.
Family golf outing.
I have not been to Pala Mesa in 30 years and it did not disappoint. The course is in great shape and the greens play true. I will definitely return in the near future. We also had lunch afterwards and the food was excellent and the staff was very nice.
Excellent!!!!
The conditions of the course were fantastic. The rough is a bit long and at times hard to find balls and hit out of so hit it strstraight!. Pick your tees wisely since this is a very difficult course from the back tees.
Turkey Pastrami sandwich
Green and even more well maintained course recently. Sandwiches are 💣
Nice to Return
Course in good condition, morning proshop guy was excellent getting us out promptly. The afternoon crew was pre-occupied and when asked about a replay they said they didn't have one and it would cost $78 dollars to replay. The nonresident treatment is atrocious. It was nice to play the course again but you can tell its catering to an out dated resort clientele and locals, trying to keep the play down. From the blue tees there were no par 5's over 500 yards (450+). I have nice memories of this course but dont see a reason to come back at the enormous rates they charge nonresidents.
GREAT
Course in great shape. Pace was perfect. Price was reasonable.
Great hidden gem
The course was in great condition, other than the bunkers being full of water from a rainstorm the day before.
It’s a very tight course so not much room to spray. Hole layouts require all of the shot shapes.
Greens rolled true.
Great conditions!
Great conditions, receptive greens, nice uniform rough, overall pretty darn awesome.
excellent course
The greens were well maintained. Moderately challenging course layout. The roughs were not too thick making recovery to be moderately challenging.
Loved this place!
First time here and we really enjoyed the day. The course is absolutely beautiful and is a decent challenging course. We had 4 of us playing a had to let a few people go ahead of us (one two ball and another 1 ball) but that was not their fault we were playing slower. Just hate feeling people on your tail and both parties let it be known they were "right there". The greens are manicured nicely but do be aware that the grass on the sides of green is long due to the rain and you will definitely lose a few balls right before your very eyes. Hopefully that gets cut shorter as it can end up being a tad costly and frustrating to loose balls so easily. Friendly staff and good food at the restaurant. Will definitely be back!
