About
Pala Mesa Golf Resort is situated between Temecula wine country and the beautiful countryside of San Diego's North County. The course was carefully carved from the surrounding hillsides, providing rolling fairways and undulating greens throughout the layout. Towering oaks, sycamores, and elms blanket the course's landscape, providing the perfect complement to the stunning mountain views. The fairways are tight and lined with trees, demanding a fair amount of accuracy. The greens also play fairly quick. The golf course does provide a challenging round but it is seemingly much tougher than it actually is. Beginners should still feel comfortable taking on the course. The versatile layout in combination with the consistently good conditions have earned Pala Mesa acclaim as one of the best golf courses in San Diego County.

Greens are fantastic.
Course is a little out or sorts, but a nice layout, and challenging. Pikc the right tees, and hit it straight. The course was very dry, and the fairways were not in good shape when I played. But the greens were fantastic. True roll, and fast. It is a public course so don't expect much in regard to frills, there are none. You get what you pay for.

Saturday’s for the Boys
Front nine is open, back nine is narrow. Greens were fast and holes were fun with a slope of 124. I’d for sure play again

Do not waste time here.
I came to this course last year and had a great experience on a very nice and pure course. I came again today and it started in the pro shop, it took me 30 minutes to check in for my tee time. Then, on the course there was constant waiting, sometimes multiple groups on a tee box and I didn’t see a marshal or any staff the whole time. The greens on the course were very nice, but I never had a decent lie in the fairway, there is more bumps ans dirt then there is grass. I will never play again and do not recommend to anyone.

Bad Experience
We played with a threesome on 3/28/21 in the morning. it started off trying to pay for the round, it took 20 minutes because their computers are down. we went to the driving range to warm up and it’s off mats; really poor set up. the pace of play was obnoxious. we were waiting 5-10 minutes before we hit every shot. it was almost unplayable. it took us 4h 30min to play 15 holes where we then decided to go in because it was too bad. the conditions of the course were so bad. every single spot was patchy and we would hit tee shots right down the middle of the fairway, get up to our ball, and be hitting off of straight dirt. worst conditions on any course i’ve played in a bit. the only kind of nice part were the greens; they rolled pretty well. i would never play this course again for anything more than $20. poor.

Could be so much better
This course is a decent layout in a good location, but is in desperate need of maintenance. Mats on the driving range along with very poor tee boxes and fairways. Greens and traps were average.

Needs work
The front nine course condition was sub par due to uneven fairways and greens. Looks like too little moisture. Back nine was better.

Good time
Play here every so often easy to get a teetime. A little pricey for that course. But fun to add in the mix every so often

Pala Mesa 3-19-21
Played with a friend from college. Play was a little slow but to be expected on a Friday afternoon. We had a blast, played well and enjoyed the 19th hole. I will be back!

Possibly the worst course in So Cal
Course is a complete abomination. The grass has a terrible disease and there are no fairways due to the crap conditions of the grass. Layout is not impressive, bunkers and greens are terrible. Absolutely not worth the price, even at the twilight rate. Will not return or recommend. Pictures are a complete lie and joke. Management needs to wake up and stop catfishing people into playing this awful course.
