Westridge Golf Club
About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,600 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

WESTRIDGE Photo submitted by dmzssibal on 04/29/2014
Sad To See The Decline Of This Icon
My Dad took me to Wesridge shortly after it first opened. We played Fullerton most of the time because it was cheaper, but we would play Westridge occasionally and it was always a treat. Brought a friend with me from Seattle and we were disappointed with the course conditions. Several bare spots in the fairways and the greens were loaded with ball marks, and not just recent ones.
Avoid this course if you can
They overbook and don’t manage pace of play. They claim a 5.5 hour round is normal And what you sign up for. 3 hour front an 2.5 hour back. Somehow it speeds up in the back.
Just avoid them. They won’t do rain checks or refunds.

Layout, Staff are great, buy cart condition & near greens need improvement..
Challenge Course
I played today on 10/30/23 the fairway are a lot of bare spots and the second cut ooff the fairway is really high in some spot but the greens are excellent some holes rolls are very fast but overall this golf course is great because it is very challenging ITS NOT FOR A BEGINNERS COURSR make sure you can hit the straight first before coming here if not make sure you have plenty of balls in your bag
Stopped playing due to pace of play
No marshall and 8min in between tee times results in 3h10min fir the front nine. It’s a shame because it was a fun course to play, but we didn’t even finish because it was getting ridiculous. 5+hr for 13 holes shouldn’t be normal
Paid full rate for aeration that was not advertised
This course is one of my favorites, and I always look forward to having a good round. Last time I played here I shot 77 and had five birdies. To my surprise, this the course was aerated, and was in terrible conditions in the rough and fairways. The greens were horrendous, and I had only two birdie attempts, which, due to the aeration, never came close to going in the hole. Shot 96. Should have asked for my money back. they need to advertise when it is upcoming, during or after aeration. That four week period should be advertised.
