Westridge Golf Club
About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,450 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

Avoid this course if you can
They overbook and don’t manage pace of play. They claim a 5.5 hour round is normal And what you sign up for. 3 hour front an 2.5 hour back. Somehow it speeds up in the back.
Just avoid them. They won’t do rain checks or refunds.

Layout, Staff are great, buy cart condition & near greens need improvement..
Challenge Course
I played today on 10/30/23 the fairway are a lot of bare spots and the second cut ooff the fairway is really high in some spot but the greens are excellent some holes rolls are very fast but overall this golf course is great because it is very challenging ITS NOT FOR A BEGINNERS COURSR make sure you can hit the straight first before coming here if not make sure you have plenty of balls in your bag
Stopped playing due to pace of play
No marshall and 8min in between tee times results in 3h10min fir the front nine. It’s a shame because it was a fun course to play, but we didn’t even finish because it was getting ridiculous. 5+hr for 13 holes shouldn’t be normal
Paid full rate for aeration that was not advertised
This course is one of my favorites, and I always look forward to having a good round. Last time I played here I shot 77 and had five birdies. To my surprise, this the course was aerated, and was in terrible conditions in the rough and fairways. The greens were horrendous, and I had only two birdie attempts, which, due to the aeration, never came close to going in the hole. Shot 96. Should have asked for my money back. they need to advertise when it is upcoming, during or after aeration. That four week period should be advertised.
Nice layout , bad conditions and grumpy staff
Course starter lost his personality some say he’s still looking for it, course was dry and bunkers like concrete , and paired us up with non English speakers made for a bad round of golf
Tough Course
If you can't consistently hit an 85 or better, bring plenty of spare balls. Very narrow fairways, and most balls not hit straight are gone. Even when hit straight, a vast majority of the course has hills, so it presents challenges hitting the ball on a slope. There is little chance of recovering a sliced ball due to the terrain. Lacks the kind of amenities you would find at most public courses, like ball wash, shoe cleaner and trash cans along the way.
Awesome Potential
This course is amazing in terms of its layout, challenge and features. Unfortunately it is in such poor shape that it isn’t enjoyable. No fault of the course itself, it is just coming out a long drawn out lawsuit where a developer bought to]he property to build housing on. The homeowners about filed suit and won. During that time the course has not been well maintained. If a strong organization like Troon would come in and transform this course, it would be epic! Even going semi-private would generate much needed revenue for improvements. Charging higher fees won’t help because no one wants to pay higher fees for such poor conditions. A complete transformation would justify higher fees and guarantee daily sell-outs. Ideal location, great design, huge golf community all round makes this potential a winner!.
Can’t book a single.
My biggest problem with this course is I can’t book a single. Probably played three times a week if I could book by myself and not have to pay for 2.. I don’t know why they don’t allow the singles guarantee place to play would be faster people that play by themselves, usually know how to take care of golf course and etiquette.
Average course / good value for the area
First time there. Starter wasn't personable, doesn't seem to like his job. Greens were fair. It appears they are doing improvements to the course. I would definitely play this again. Cost of the round is fair compared to other courses in the area.
Slow play
Course needs a lot more attention.
It’s a good track but not getting the love by maintenance.
Speed of play horrible considering not busy.
Spoke with the ranger but he didn’t give a s&$t and just agreed it was slow.
Would have to keep all this in mind when paying $75 per round.
