Palm Beach Golf Course
About
Palm Beach Golf Course is an enjoyable par-3 course that offers a round that is as good as a championship course. It is one of the top-rated par-3 courses in the country. The innovative Paspalum turf that is used throughout the course is both drought and saltwater-tolerant, guaranteeing lush green conditions no matter what. The course has a rolling terrain, offering curves and elevations that provide scenic views of the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. Almost every hole on the golf course enjoys beautiful scenery but being sandwiched between the ocean and the Intracoastal, there are treacherous breezes that can affect your game. The layout starts on the beach and then moves along the Intracoastal. The sandy dunes on the beach provide the course with some interesting challenges. It is an excellent place to hone your short game skills.

Par 3 Photo submitted by pjgolfalot on 07/07/2013
Excellent par-3 course with great views
Excellent course for practicing short irons and for short game. Great ocean front views. Course layout good; some are uphill and some downhill. Route A1A is a scenic route. There is a nice restaurant above the pro shop. I didn’t eat there.
Great course.....!!
This course is one of the best around.....even though it’s a par 3 facility. I gave it 3 stars for course conditions and value because I been playing there this year about once a week. Everytime I’m there there’s usually a major maintenance project going on. One week it was punching and sanding greens. The maintenance guy was literally following me around the front 9 as he had already punched and sanded the greens. Another week was a major tree trimming project in which they had bucket trucks literally on the course blocking several holes at a time. Yesterday they were tearing up the middle set of tee boxes. This was on every hole. The frustrating part is that non of these major work projects are never mentioned on Golf Now or when you check in at the pro shop.....you don’t know until you’re on the course after paying a FULL Price Greens Fee and having to play partial holes. It’s a great course and a challenge under normal conditions. Thank you for allowing me to voice my concerns.
First timer
My wife and I, amateurs, played this course for first time and we’re very pleased. The view was amazing and course layout was super and challenging. Our only disappointment was the repairing of the tees which occurs when upgrades are beneficial. Complements to entire staff, very helpful and courteous. Looking forward to playing there again.
Excellent value
Fairways and greens were perfect, Starter had us begin on 3, which saved getting stuck behind a couple of foursomes. lunch at Al Fresco: perfect!
Absolutely AWESOME
First time here, had the first Tee time (7:10am )
It was a beautiful morning and just got better as we played.Front nine is mostly played by the inter coastal water, somewhat tricky maybe challenging is a better word, BUT then came the back nine and in over 50 years of playing this game I truly can say I had my breath taken away,
Each hole seemed more beautiful, more breathtaking and more challenging than the last. The wind off the Atlantic Ocean was blowing hard and you had to really be careful of club selection. It was a fantastic experience!!!
Best Par 3 with one of the Best Starters Ever
Great little course on Beach and along the coastal waterway. Got put out on 5 so I could get ahead of crowd and play 18 in under three hours. One of the best Par 3's I ever played.
Fun and fast
Well maintained. Quite playable yet offers several challenging shots. Greens present many slopes but could use a slightly closer cut. Highly recommend.
Extremely good
I almost don't want to write a good review because i want this gem to myself! So amazing. My favorite course so far!
One of my favorite courses!
The Palm Beach county par 3 course is a great little course. It is challenging and fun to play. Between the Atlantic ocean and the Intercoastal waterway, most holes have a great view. The staff is very friendly nd helpful. All in all it was a great golfing experience!
Gem
This place is a hidden gem... regular and short length par 3’s with inter-coastal and ocean views..always in great shape and good
Pace of play..food is also great at the upstairs restaurant
Fun and great food
Great place to play and have a great meal after your game!
Perfect
Great course to practice with irons. Beautiful course. The staff was outstanding.
Rough Putting, Smooth Round
Though recent aeration left the greens bouncy and tortoise-slow, the tight fairways and tee boxes of the course framed by the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean were well-manicured. Playing with a walking partner who was struggling with the 95 degree heat, we caught a window with very few players on the course and zipped through the round in one hour and 45 minutes. Easy short Par 3's were complemented by longer, more difficult holes bordering the Intracoastal and the Atlantic, where high winds made for adventurous tee shots. The pro shop staff was friendly, while longtime, cart attendant/starter, Patrick, is the best in South Florida. Al Fresco restaurant on the second floor of the handsome clubhouse offers tasty cuisine and splendid vistas of the Atlantic. Walk-up fee of $31 was way too rich for this round, but teeing off on signature No. 18 with wind blowing in off the Atlantic and the clubhouse in the distance beckoned a follow-up visit when greens improve.
Not worth the money
The greens were punched a while ago and were unputtable. Too many holes with the same distance .
Quality par 3 time
Good experience at this historic 18 hole par 3 course, where Sam Snead could do no better than a 52.
Greens a little slow, but healthy. Play was interrupted by 20 min. rain storm, but greens quickly returned to playability.
The restaurant above the pro shop is a mandatory stop....above average food, service, and Atlantic views.
Always amazing
I’ve played this course since I was a kid. As I grow older I appreciate it more and more every time. The conditions were superb, the greens were solid and the staff was as courteous as ever. Plan on staying after for lunch upstairs, you won’t regret it.
Very solid course. While I think some of the reviews were a little generous, for a par 3 course it was a good course. While we didn’t have a chance to eat, the restaurant overlooking the course seemed to be quite popular. The only small complaint were the greens were very slow compared to what one would expect for playing in June. They did roll true but it was difficult to get the ball to the hole. Add a good 10% -15% to your putt. Would play again.
