Tamarac Glades
I am a novice at this game. However, this particular one is a great place for learning how to play. No sand traps, and a few challenging holes, but overall a good course for beginners, and when finished you can go to the clubhouse and enjoy a cold beer with a great meal. If you are looking for another course that could be more challenging right next to the Glades is the Champions golf course, one next to each other, very convenient.
Great course
Great value for the money! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The groundkeepers were hard at work grooming to keep the course good with the extreme heat. The pro shop attendant( sorry, I can’t remember her name)and Patrick the starter were so nice and very helpful, getting our bags from the car and making sure we had all the information we needed.
The restaurant was excellent, it was quite busy while we were there but CJ and Geo were friendly and efficient. We had our drinks and food in no time, delivered with a smile. Again good value for the money.
We will let our friends know and will definitely be back!
Starter the Guilty Party
In general you get what you pay, it’s an average Executive Course, not designed for low handicaps. Holes are short, not 1 single trap protecting the greens, hardly any hazards. The course is in ok shape. A good place to practice or get a quick round in. It works for me, not complaining. The only problem with this course is the starter, not sure what’s going on, I’ve played there many times y more often than not. They don’t respect time or foursomes. For example the last round I played, I got there 15 to 20 minutes before my tee time, there was supposed to be 4 players, I was a single, when I got there I was told that one of the guys was a no show and that the other 2 players already head out. This kind of bad decisions by the starter caused a very slow pace of play, you have Twosomes and singles lining up and waiting for a hole or green to clear. Not a single ranger to fix the situation, I joined a couple behind me an it took us 4 hours to play a short par 64
Good shape
I didn’t play well but course was in good shape. And so it goes.
Great deal. Good shorter course.
Went out at around 3. Moved right along. No problems. Very acceptable course.
Don’t bother…
The course is in really rough condition with diseased and all-terrain greens.
Good time
Fun, cost effective course. Greens not in great shape, but it was $20/round, so you can understand.
No beverage cart while it's 90+ degrees is a tough one, though..
