Greens
It irritates me that some golfers think that they can hit off the deck on par 3's , when all their doing is tearing up the tee box .
Fairways, even the weeds are consistent enough to make good contact.
Most of the greens are really nice , except for a few that have bald sand spots.
All in all well worth the price .
Corse in good shape.
Greens were challenging. Nice layout. Last few holes were very ragged but overall a good place to play.
Welcome to the jungle
I understand it’s a cheap course, but even $30 is over priced for the condition. It was our first time playing and we had no idea there were two courses. We pulled up and were impressed that we paid $30 for such a nice course. Little did we know that wasn’t where we were playing. We finally found the course after guessing where to go because there was minimal to no signage. Wow, how depressing from going to the champions course to this one. Nothing was maintained. The greens (if you can call them that) were horrible. Many of them had large patches of sand. The “bunkers” didn’t even have sand. There was one shady outhouse bathroom on home 8. And you don’t even pass the club house. A cart girl came once and the only food she had was chips. This should’ve been $15. We wish we would’ve know to play at the champions and not at Jurassic park.
Great Practice Course
Despite the hot & dry summer, the course is very playable. Just a perfect small course for practicing.
Course has good features
The course is set up for golfers to practice. Some areas need lots of maintenance but over all playable
Urban Golfer
Cant be the price and flow of play. Cart girls are chill and prices reasonable.
Playing in random field that was mowed a few days ago.
To be fair I played at a normal golf course the day before so I might have judged this too harshly. Poor pace of play, over grown cart paths, and there were no water stations with water. Tee box was a nice combo of dirt and sand (few weeds for a green effect).
The description was “nicest executive golf course…”. It may have been just prior to WWII.
Executive course
I booked this course for my son, grandson, and I to play this weekend. Starter was courteous and prompt. Unfortunately across the club and champions course there was no staff present. A drink cart was at the first tee box but nothing after. Not even water coolers at any tee boxes. No ranger in sight. We played behind a group of 8 players and as you could imagine the pace was extremely slow! The course is pretty beat up although some of the greens were decent. I’ve played the championship course at this location and it was always in good shape. The executive course was a bad experience and would not play again no matter how cheap it is. The clubhouse and lounge are very nice. If the owner doesn’t want to maintain the executive course then maybe it’s best just to sell it and let the money keep up the rest of Colony West.
Decent course
Course is good to practice your short game. A few greens are really bad. Overall not a bad course.
Love colony
Between glades and champs I have never had a bad experience- maybe a bad round lol … great courses. The absolute only thing missing is a driving range. I could play there every weekend.
