Glades at Colony West Country Club

Good round, will be back.Quiet busy but moved well.

Glades is the value brand golf course. Some of the greens are in decent condition, but most aren't and fairways are lousy. But it's a big open space to test stuff out and the price is right if you can play for under $20.

The starter was clearly overwhelmed when I was there and wasn't signing in people until our tee times came up on the clock, so my round began 20 minutes late. Instead of explaining what he was doing to all the people huddled around him, he was very rude to the golfers that would walk up to try to check in.

Some of the golfers only spoke Spanish, and some only spoke French, so they were confused about what was going on.

The only reason I bring this up is because nobody knew who they were grouped with by the time they got out to the tees. I played as a threesome and we had dummies in front of us playing as 4 pairs instead of two foursomes. The pace was dreadful until we drove up and asked that they play together as four. If the starter can't maintain order, they need a ranger out on the first tee. The course is too easy to be spending 5 hours on 18 holes.

Very short course with most blue tee shots being around 300 yards or less. Greens are in poor shape.

Pace of play was really slow.

Very nice and clean course, with a friendly atmosphere. I enjoy playing here very much!

The greens for the glades course don't exist pretty much.

I have played this course many times and really enjoy it every time. The layout is nice, fairways are generous for the size of the course, some greens are in rough shape but every hole is a challenge. For a par 64, you will use every club in the bag, especially if it's windy. Playing this course helps me play better golf.

All I can say is that as most courses one or two slow playing ignorant foursomes can ruin a very nice experience! A Ranger to keep groups close would be nice.

Just a note...tip the poor souls at the cart check in: both we had the pleasure of talking to are subject to ignorant questions and people not knowing the system. They do a great job!

It is bad because the layout of that course if interresting to play

A lot has been poured into improving amenities around Colony West, now it's time to start improving the golf courses. Many greens were in bad shape, and the fairways were extremely thin. Don't let the golf be an afterthought. This is a good layout, especially if you are trying to get your game back after a long layoff, or just don't want to wrestle with a regulation length course.

Our tea time was 306 it was just two of us literally could not get anybody to help us get our bags to the golf carts and had to wait like 15 minutes to get my golf cart and the people were unfriendly out there because obviously it was the end of their shift

We guests that had not golfed in months,they enjoyed as did we. Will be back when price is right.
