Disappointing
The staff were not very friendly. The driving range was small and cramped. There’s were a lot of homeless people along the course and one took a golfers
Ball off the course. I would not have felt safe had I been golfing on my own. There were no Marshalls out on course. Overall I felt the price was too high for overall experience.
Rude and dis-respectful workers
Our 2 couples played Friday and on the 13th par 3 my wife asked the worker mowing to finish cutting the tee box after we tee off.
When my wife turned to leave the worker Flipped Her Off and said something in Spanish. After my telling the worker how did-respectful this was I called the pro shop and told them what happened. The response was non caring and an apology or explanation was never offered or given.
I will never go back to a course that did-respects their patron or really don’t care after getting our $139 pp payment.
An Arnold Palmer Managed Course and very dis-respectful the the Palmer name.
Go Elsewhere to be appreciated.
very good value for the money
we played first time and were fully satisfied:
very nice course layout, interresting to play for single handicapers, fair for bogey players. excellent conditions of faurways, greens a littke slow, may be overseeded, overall very enjoyable!
off course, the faculilitues are somehow restricted as this is a public course, but we went fir golfing, and that was great value for the money - half the price if some other courses in the area with much worse conditions.
we will come again?
Better than Terra Lago
Very friendly start of the day. Appreciated. But, if they supplied alcoholic drinks at 7:00am maybe people wouldn’t bring their own. Lol. Not everyone subscribed to their schedule. Very enjoyable round. Will be back…. many times.
adequare
The score card provided in my cart was for another 18 hole course..( :
There were no food or beverage options at the turn.
I needed water.....
Better than most
Golfed at Marriott Desert Springs the next day and not only were conditions better at Tahquitz, but the views were much better and being from Florida we took a bunch of photos at Tahquitz and only two at Marriott.
Resort Course Has a Fun Layout - But Club Itself Needs Work
I may have been spoiled with great golf courses over the last 14 years I’ve been golfing in the desert, but the green fees here personally aren’t worth it compared to the amount of other golf courses in the area, given no extra amenities are provided with it. Any other course I play in the desert around the price of this course provides all the basic amenities in desert golf you’d expect. This was my experience yesterday - Ice chest with no water bottles, had I not asked about it when I thought I was buying “extra” for myself, they would’ve sent me out with no water on a hot day. No Marshall enforcing pace of play (my group of 4 got stuck behind a 4some that was more than 2 holes behind after hole 3) and made what could’ve been a 3.5hr round into a 4.5hr round. If we weren’t teeing off at 6:40am, I’d say that’s not a bad time for a weekend round, but not when you’re one of the first 5 groups to go out. No restaurant or AT LEAST a snack bar that is actually open and serving food or even just a power bar or chips during their disclosed business hours. (Was closed when I arrived at 6:00am, still closed when I was teeing off at 6:40am, says it’s open from 6am on the weekend..) no snack bar open at the turn either. Golf carts did not have gps. Greens were in atrocious shape and did not roll true once. Greens were overgrown in spots, dead and even straight dirt patches in a ton of other spots. Garbage littered the waste/washout areas - from bottles and cans to pillows, cushions, etc. Tee boxes were way overgrown and fluffy, almost like hitting out of the rough if you’re not hitting driver off a high tee on every hole (course too short to use driver on almost any hole for the average player unless you’re playing from the tips, even then I was long with a 3 or 5 wood on some holes - and I’m not a long hitter by any means). Fairways were actually in great shape. Lush and green, well manicured and maintained. Bunkers were hard &full of gravel from what I was told (didn’t have to hit out of one fortunately). All in all, I’ve played nicer, more accommodating courses for around the same price out here. The one shining positive I will provide about this experience were the starters. They were very friendly and helpful with informing me about the course layout and design as it was my first time playing here. Otherwise, my overall experience wasn’t BAD, but I can very confidently say I will not be coming back to play here. Tons of other courses just 15-30 mins away for the same price or just slightly more, but provides you full service and then some, and better course conditions/maintenance. You can get more “bang for your buck” elsewhere in the desert for sure.
Great layout
Very friendly staff
Fun course with a great layout
