Resort at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort

We played resort and it’s a nice course and in good shape. Nice grass versus that wirie grass. Our tee time was 1:30 which we thought would be enough time to get done before 5:30ish dark. The problem is you have to wait until groups on the courses come in to get a cart. People take them out to parking lot even though there is a sign saying not to. We saw a group adding there scores up by the 18th green??? So we didn’t get on our cart until 2:15 so only got 16 holes in which we were lucky to do. We were going at a good pace until “The Resort” golfers got to hole 7 and 8 which both have water to clear. We were the 2nd group waiting to tee off on 7. Where the lucky part came in was a lot of people quit after 9 so we were able to play 10 to 16 in about 45 minutes until 5:45 and we were getting lucky to find the ball. Couldn’t see it’s trajectory anymore.

Did not play this course last year because of the storm, they got it back in good shape, still doing some work but no problem with that. Fairways nice to hit off and greens rolling nice. Played in 4 hours, very little waiting, maybe the windy day had something too do with the quick round? This course can get very backed up.

Course is in great condition

The course was nice, greens were in great condition and were running smoothly, very nice views all around, loved the layout of the course, only thing that needs improvement more yardage markers so bring your range finder.

We played in 4h51, almost every tee box the group in front of us have not hit, outside the fairway the course was horrible. We won’t play that course again.

Didn"t play because there was a 45 minute delay due to a large group that went out earlier that were late. Seriously? When we said that we would wait and play 9 the price offered was 70.00. Pro shoo not overly helpful. Not sure that I understand how a group, regardless of the size ruins the pace for everybody else.

Will not book here again.

We teed off at 12:32 and finish right on time. Course was nice, however my swing wasn't. I shot about 10 strokes higher than I normally do. Fairways and greens where in great shape. Well worth the drive from Mission Viejo. Nice, friendly, respectable staff.

If you want to wait on every single shot this is the course for you. The ranger came by once on the 12th hole to tell us it was slow. Duh, we sure knew that. He did nothing and really didn’t care.

The keys to the bathrooms didn’t work ~ the beverage cart girl apologized for that.

People were walking German Shepard dogs right on the course ~ I guess they know it’s a dog track too!

Total aggravation playing this course that’s not that great of a course and overpriced.

I played here a few years ago, and remembered it as being very average. I got there plenty early, and was able to tee off at will. It was empty for the first few holes, and we were moving right along until we came up on a twosome that seemed like they were playing in slow motion.

So while waiting on several holes, we had a chance to notice that the course is in way better shape than I remembered. The grounds crew has done a great job. The greens ran very true, and while quick, they were not crazy fast.

This is a popular, moderate priced course for Palm Springs. And one of the things that happens is there are a lot of people on the course who are either learning the game, or don’t play often. The three groups in front of us spent a lot of the time looking for balls out in the desert waste areas, waiting on par 5s until the group ahead was on the green before they took a second shot, taking pictures on a green, etc. Par 3s often had 3 groups on them. We played the round in 4:15, but only because we had those first four holes without anyone in front of us.

Staff was great from check in to the cart girl to giving back the cart. Didn’t try the food.

All in all, decent value, good conditions, a fair and challenging course,. Just be mentally prepared for a “leisurely” pace.

Had a very enjoyable time with three people from Winnipeg. Course is in excellent shape. It was greet to see new fluffy white sand in all of the bunkers. Even though we had a five some ahead of us the pace of play was fine.

Was hesitant to book here after reading some of the reviews. My wife and I got hooked up with another couple and had a very enjoyable round of golf. The pace of play was excellent - 4 hours 10 minutes. Course was moderately challenging. Fairways pretty wide. Enough variety to make things interesting. Will definitely play here again.

Found the customer service to be a bit on the arrogant / entitled side. Driving range was nice and close for a warmup and carts were easily assigned for tee off. Tee off was right on time but pace of play was painful. We waited 15 minutes to hit on the 7th hole which completely threw off the rhythm of the round. Course layout was nice and it was in nice shape overall, but the Greens were slow and bumpy.

Plenty of other courses to play in the area before I’ll be back.

First, why are they selling the tee time after 2 pm??? You can't even finish. Not too mention, they accept too many people on daily without anyone's supervision. Course is a nice but how they manage,???

Pace of play was horrendous. Marshall did absolutely nothing to move things along. 5 hour and 10 min round. Brutal!!!
