Too slow
I like the layout, but won’t go back because of the pace of play. Also, no marshals on course to help . Just too many people on the course. You’re lucky to finish 18 holes with a noon start.
Tahquitz Creek Resotr coursr
Challenging course if played from the appropriate tees. Course in very good condition, greens in great shape with subtle breaks. Pace of play slow. Overall would play again
Enjoyable golf game
Great value. Interesting layout that wasn’t too penal. A course worth recommending.
Didn't quite make the whole 18
Decent course in a interesting setting. We chose the twilight rate to save some money and had to skip one hole because it was getting dark and couldn't quite see to finish the 18th on the Resort Course. We had a 2:08 tee time. Maybe 3-4 groups behind us gave up for darkness and cold as it was cooling off fast. This is a heavily used course because it's the cheapest in the area. It would be nice if more golfers fixed their divots and ball marks. Lots of water and it is deep so kiss that ball goodbye.
Painfully Slow
Got behind a 4some. By their skill level they lacked etiquette. Waited on the tee, waited on the fairway, only to finish the hole and catch up to them before they left the next tee. Never saw a group in front of them holding them up. Where is the Marshall we thought!!! Never saw one. Could not finish round because of darkness. 3 hours 20 mins and only 14 holes. Got too dark.
better to be golfing then ?
Fairways and greens good condition. Had to wait at least 5 minutes at each hole to tee off.
Great condition
First day open after reseeding. It was nice. I’ve never seen in this good shape. Greens rolled smoothly.
Change of plans
We were booked to play the Resort course but there was a tournament in front of us that would have made it a very long day. The staff allowed us to change to the Legends course so we got our game in on a very hot day. They also agreed to let us come back to play the Resort course later in the week at the locals rate to compensate us, and that was nice because we prefer that course. Don't forget to bring your bug spray!!
Beautiful course...not perfect yet
Beautiful course and layout. Amenities restricted due to the summer hours. Much better than the Legend Course, although lots of work being done on cart paths, making for some very bumpy rides. Some fairways close to the green were a little burnt. Bunkers were inconsistent, some great with new sand, others were close to cement.
Definitely looking forward to replaying!
Decent course, useless staff
The young fella working the desk was short and rude and the cart barn associate was just as bad. He pointed to a cart and said you can take that and watched as I loaded the cart myself.
Good course a little tough at times, but forgiving
Great for the price
Got a real Hot Deal....Cold reception upon arrival until we met the starter--good guy....Finished round and restaurant closed-unless we had "chips"....Course nice with a few spots...Great for price
Visited Palm Springs for the weekend
Chose Tahquitz to play because it was close to the hotel we were staying at. It’s ok, the pace of play was good for a Saturday morning. But for the price, there’s other courses in better condition for around the same price. The staff was ok, the cart staff just hung out and talked to each a lot instead of taking care of their customers and the carts were dirty. A golf resort it is not...more like a municipal golf course.
Like a walk in the park...
I'll start by saying I'm a beginner and have been playing for 4 months. The last 6 rounds I played an average of 32 over par. This course made me work for every shot and is without a doubt the most difficult course I have played yet. There are alot of hills and if you miss the fairway you will find yourself shooting blind over a hill. The hazards are fair on some holes and very unforgiving on others, especially on hole 17. Overall, it was a very demanding yet exciting course. I ended up with a 112 (40 over) and I do not plan on coming back until I have inproved my game.
Wholesome day
We had a great time the course is in great shape. Love the weather and meet a good guy that we got paired with Jason he's a lot fun and he can hit the ball very good like a great shot that he had in a par 3 in the back nine excellent he got a bird. We love playing this course hope we can come back before long
