Mission Hills - Gary Player Course

Not as challenging layout as the Pete Dye Challenge but in better condition this year.

We love the track and some of best staff going, but the course needs some work. Greens are very good and the fairways are fine, but lots of areas need water . It’s one of our favorite courses, but like others in the valley, dynamic pricing has impacted it value as you pay a lot to play a course which needs so much.

One of my favorites in the PS area. Grrat layput. Friendly staff. Very enjoyable!

If you are willing to spend a bit extra, this older course is reminiscent of its namesake! It's like going back to the 70's or 80's and having a round with Gary Player himself. The layout was challenging, but it had one redeeming factor: almost all of the fairways had sides that sloped any errant shots back onto the fairway (not away from the fairway). This certainly helped my drives. But, if you did get stuck in the rough, there was lots of bramble waiting for you. The next interesting feature was that virtually all of the greens were sloped in the same direction (south east), regardless of hole orientation. The greens were small, well guarded, and had interesting (challenging) shapes. This is where I lost most of my shots. Finally, with a very wide range of tee locations, this course lends itself well to players who like lots of distance and challenge, or players who like to keep it short and cute, or everything in between.

Overall, pricey and a bit dated, but a great experience for a wide variety of skill levels.

Pro shop staff was very welcoming. Starter appeared indifferent. Golf carts are never available when you get there. Limits ability to warm up.

Disappointed the restaurant/ barb was closed when we finished our round. Also washroom closed.

Fortunately back shop made theirs available.

A nice course that hasnt aged well

Golf cart seats ripped. Fairway beaten up and extra thin. I would bot return.

The condition of the course was inexcusable. Bunkers washed out and full of weeds. Large sandy patches in the fairways and rough throughout the course. At 430 pm on a Saturday the bar was closed as we finished. Nice mountian views but might as well play somewhere where the course is looked after.

The course was nice and staff friendly. The carts were old with torn up seats and the gps systems were an afterthought that worked intermittently. For the green fees I expected more. Bring a range finder.

Right from the start the staff were very friendly, especially the starter. Course is in near perfect shape. Greens roll true and bunkers have plenty of sand. Played in 4 hours and waited to hit on most holes so can’t complain. Highly recommend this course. Pro shop is very limited but that doesn’t take away from the course.

It was in good shape greens were excellent. The layout is moderately challenging, but not difficult. Choosingvv be the right tees will definitely make it an enjoyable round.
