Mission Hills - Gary Player Course

This was a really fun course for me, which is saying something since I played terribly. I liked the layout. A lot of the holes were interesting. Good mix of short and long. Water and no water. Fairways and greens in good shape. Greens were not tough to read and rolled true.

Quibbles: they ran out of carts and I had to share with another single. Can be a little awkward. I didn’t see anyone selling any drinks or snacks on the course. The “clubhouse” is not much of anything and closed at 2:30, including the bathroom. Take a leak on 15 if you’re gonna finish in the afternoon.

We’re in the valley I thought that it was a pretty good price. And a Teebox is made it so that I could play and my wife could play up. It was very enjoyable greens were very nice.

This was one of our favorite courses and so we

were a little disappointed in the shape of it today. Golf carts were in horrible condition all ripped up and not clean. The Tee boxes were not properly marked so a little frustrating to know where to tee off from. I will say when we mentioned this at the turn they were concerned and seemed to get it taken care of.

This review is for a round we didn't play. We had a starting time booked for 2/11 and on 2/10 I ended up in the Emergency Room at Eisenhower Hospital with a very large hematoma in my lower leg. It was obvious that I wasn't going to be playing golf. I called the course from the ER and -- even though we were inside the 24-hour cancellation window -- the Pro Shop staffer graciously cancelled our reservation -- gratis. More specially, he wished me a speedy recovery and sounded absolutely genuine. We'll be back to the desert next year and will definitely book a time or two at Mission Hills North.

Lack of attention to detail, Cart paths, Tee boxes, General grounds keeping .

Driving range very poor.

Awesome golf course, even better people and also some new carts can go a long way. Top course in Rancho Mirage no question 👏

My husband and I did not get to finish our round due to darkness. We waited 10 to 15 minutes to tee off at each hole and backed up with three groups waiting to tee off There was a five some ahead of us that were extremely slow. Ahead of them were three empty holes. Even though we called the pro shop no marshal came out to get play moving. Definitely will not be back

Unfortunately the round was tainted with two groups in front a group in front of us that was a foursome and a five some that were playing obnoxiously slowly. Every shot all day long was a lengthy wait. Someone could have easily forced a better pace of play if there had been a marshal on the course. Called the clubhouse and could not get through to a human being. Great course, hopefully just a bad isolated day with groups in front of us. The group weren’t inexperienced golfers, just very rude with full knowledge that they were backing up the course.

Beautiful teeboxes, Fairways, greens.

The edges of this course are kind of unkept. The clubhouse and pro shop are a bit of a joke. But as far as having a good golf experience goes, it’s great. Greens were beautiful. Just plan on going for dinner somewhere else.

Nice. Overall course for winter golf was in very good condition

The course was in very good condition. I liked the layout of the course. The backdrop on a lot of the holes was unreal. Course was challenging yet if you hit your spots you can score well. I would definitely play it again.

Was a pleasant surprise. Clubhouse is very low end, but clean. I was a bit skeptical at first sight, but the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Tee boxes not so much, but okay. Nice views and interesting holes. Would absolutely play it again. Very good value if you can get a deal on GolfNow.

We really appreciate the opportunity to play from tees that give us the chance to have a fun round. Another plus: we are two and we get paired up almost every time. And every time it has been nice people. Somehow the course has found a way to not attract jerks.

I was paired with 3 very slow players. After two holes we were one hole behind. Marshall was out and talked to the group once but the group never caught up. We finished at least two holes behind and 4 hours 40 minutes. This is the longest it has ever taken me to play this course. Very disappointing pace of play. I talked to the group more than once but they never picked up the pace. I like this course but this kind of pace is unacceptable. Thank you

FIrst impression of this course was not good. The golf carts were old, chunks out of the seats (yes, chunks), the lid on our cooler was half gone. Looked like we were at a public course in disrepair. The course itself, however, was very enjoyable. Greens were in great shape, overseeded areas were nice, bunkers in good shape. All in all we had fun, but the carts are a disgrace.

We come to Palm Springs area every year and always set up our first round of golf within the 2nd or 3rd day of arrival. This course was a great transition for Minnesotans who haven’t played since October.

I would recommend it!

A lovely course with some interesting holes .

Pace of play was excellent .

Cold water provided at regular intervals.

Club house small and bar and grill only had hot dogs or cold sandwiches after our round so we were a bit disappointed with that.

Definitely worth a visit
