Mission Hills - Gary Player Course

The course in general was in good condition for the fairways and greens especially for August. The bunkers were absolutely horrendous. Mud and hard sand. Water rivulets on sides. Many weeds. Although not in playing area per se driving from green to tee was very unappealing from brush, dead palm fronds, bushes and sand. I realize it’s the desert however. Finally, and I’m not sure this was the fault of the course but there was a sewer smell for the entire round.

We played this course as our third day of a little golf vacation with me and three of my friends. We had a good time. The courses relatively easy to play. The greens are in really good condition given the 110° Heat especially. Would love to play this course when I come back into town

A challenging layout for mid-handicappers and easy to lose balls on the "water holes". The course can use a little TLC around the greens.

First time playing the course and I will return. I had an early tee time and was met in the parking lot by one of the attendants with my cart. Check in was easy and started earlier than scheduled. The course was well maintained, and the greens were in great shape for summertime. I was surprised to find the water feature clear and not a mossy mess. I played my best back nine in a long time.

Finished exactly 4 hours good pace of play not so crowded excellent staffs

The staff was its usual welcoming selves. The starter on the other hand could use a little customer service advice. Unclear and gets upset easily.

Tee time was 1050am. Condition ok for mid summer. Practice area good. But no cart service and no service after 9th...everything was closed for the day, including restrooms. Complete fail service-wise.

This course is in bad shape. Not worth the money paid ($49). It looks like no care went into this once wonderful course. Would not play this course again unless Teeoff charged $25. Not worth $50 or more as shown on Teeoff. Bring back pre-covid rates as there is not draw to play hot and tired pro like courses.Teeoff needs to drop prices to $25-$30 as no one is playing due to heat and dried up courses like Gary Player.

Thought the course was in so so shape. I know it's summer but was expecting more. Played 3 years ago at same time and was in better shape. Waterfalls not on, couple of tee boxes in bad shape. Greens were alright. Lots of water available which was good, GPS on cart was handy. Could have a better clubhouse setup. Friendly cart staff.

Course was aerated about two weeks before we played. So the greens were not rolling perfectly yet but looked like they would be great in about another 7-10 days. Fairways were in great shape for the middle of summer too. I made a mistake when booking through Golf Now but the very nice young lady in the pro shop was able to fix the problem for me and get our group out right away. ***The ONLY problem was that we were the last tee time of the day (apparently). Because the staff kept messaging us through the onboard GPS monitor in our cart. They kept pushing us to play faster so they could go home, obviously. We got messages like “you’re the only ones on the course so you can speed up” and “Is everything ok with you guys?” NOW MIND YOU- our foursome finished in 4:05. So the staff didn’t need to and shouldn’t have pushed us to play faster- we were under average time once we finished. I would play here again but I would like for the course to contact me and explain why they think this type of behavior from their staff is acceptable?!?! It’s too bad because I really like this place and love the course but our group was very irritated by this and disappointed in this level of customer service.
