Mission Hills - Gary Player Course

Great layout and super friendly staff.

Love this course.

Very friendly, accommodating staff.

But some greens are in trouble ( almost no grass left ) and conditions around the course are really bad ( trash/debris, sand piles, standing water).

It’s a beautiful location and great course that deserves better care.

It’s not a difficult track, but is plenty challenging. But the course is really run down now. Not like a lot of the YouTube videos before. Real disappointed with it being a Troon course, too. Wouldn’t recommend — but the price on it is reasonable. Cart doesn’t have a charger either. Not much to do here. Small putting green and chipping area. Doesn’t feel like a desert course at all.

The course was neglected, and when we played, the sprinklers were turned on the greens on four holes in succession on the back nine as we approached the greens. This was not at the end the day, it was at 11:45 AM., we ended up quitting on the back nine because it was impossible to play with sprinklers going off on the greens. The general manager was contacted and did make reparations, however the staff obviously had no idea who the general manager was because they did not know his name, giving us the name of the head golf pro. This course needs a lot of work and imanagement needs more involvement in the daily operations. It was a an obviously a very nice course in the past, but has gone downhill and neglected.

Course conditions were very good overall. Excellent value.

Course is in good condition. Excellent layout. Pace of play was great. Great staff. They offered cold towels it was getting warmer towards the end of my round. I shot one of the lowest rounds in my life. Practice facilities are great. I will definitely be going back.

We played the Mission Hills North course an had a great time. We were greeted by the cart associate and she was friendly and took care of our bags right away. Te clubhouse staff was friendly and helpful. The driving range was in good shape and had good practice balls. Steve the starter was awesome. He got us out early! The course was in good shape. The greens were fast and firm but rolled perfectly. We didn't stay after our round but the snack bar in the club house had all you would need for pre and post round beverages and food. We would definitely return for another round here!

Nice resort style course. Reasonably forgiving in that your mush it’s are usually playable, water excepted. Great pace of play.

Needs another set of tees around 5600-5800 yards for seniors. GPS should provide more yardages to include distance to water hazards.

I really don’t know why anyone would write bad reviews of this course, for the price this might be the best value in the valley. Course conditions were excellent, the layout is unique and challenging, they give you free range balls, the practice area is expansive and the staff was top notch. I will be back many times in the future

Driving through the desert to a modest pro shop, we did not expect beautiful views of the mountains and a well planned course. Definitely will play again.

Fun course to play. Season winding down apparently, as fairways were cut really tight. Windy day (of course). Judging by amount of sand piles you see everywhere, wind must be a constant here. Friendly staff, even got us off a little early. We played in about 3 and a half hours..

The front 9 & back 9 are completely different. There are areas on the front 9 where maintenance needs to do some clean-up. Ascetically, the back 9 looks like you’re on a different course. It’s absolutely beautiful, with all the water, flowering hedges & the many gorgeous homes that line this back 9. The fairways looked great & the layout was more appealing. A huge thank-you to course staff who were able to reunite me with belongings I’d left behind the previous day. Very much appreciated. All staff at the course who we interacted with were very friendly & accommodating.
